"you can place this system on any boat" and it will suck. becaus gyro is bad and too stiff, and never ever put signal from altimeter straight to fins, this is road to bottom or to space when it flips. Every hydrofoil tutorial make the same mistakes.. uhh. Your fins will become more efficient at more speed, so it will generate more force as you speed up, and this signal from altimeter OR gyro become too high and boat will become unstable and will flip like crazy. Also this problem become worse at waves. Always divide signal to fins by speed with some coefficients, so at highter speed you give them proportionally less signal. (it's pretty linear dependency - at twice bigger speed use twice lower signal. Also gyro is bad, dont use it, you'll suffer coz it will not work how you like, you angle sensor and pid controller or write yourself microcontroller. If you are using I in pid - dont forget to clump it, because it have tendency to overaccumulate

As a massive robot combat fan, I love watching these and seeing how much Battlebots (or other robot combat events) everyone has watched. Based on this, Yzuei and Cognito definitely score highest, but for pretty much opposite reasons: Yzuei looks very inspired by modern designs (his bot definitely gives me Emulsifier vibes, and I wonder if he's looked at lower weight classes as well), but Cognito's design screams "I watched classic Battlebots as a kid and it was the coolest thing ever". I wanna say Scrap Man is inspired by classic spinners like Hypnodisc or Supernova, but there's just enough off about it that I think he just tried to make a basic horizontal spinner. And then there's Frank, who looks like he knows that vertical spinners are effective, but isn't aware of the other design aspects that make them so dominant IRL.

Love the new deployment system, but I'm wondering why take up space on the deck when you could just mount them vertically on the sides of the ship and drop them directly into the water that way? I assume there's some reason I'm not thinking of, cause otherwise that seems like the most direct way to deploy them. Also, is there some reason you can't just leave them attached to cables to the deployment system so that you can easily reel them back in when they're full? As for pot recovery, if you can't leave them connected to the deployment rail you could just use magalls on your crane.

Use those small electric connectors, or mag alls to pick up the pods instead of using cables, or you could have both

I made edits to your pots, if you replace the cable anchor on the top of the bobber with a electric connector, you can have a crane with one to auto attach, the act of being attached tells the pot winch to go in @ProfNCognito.

Instead of doing the cable connector to pick up to buoy use one of the electric like "magnet" connectors then you could have a fully remote controlled crane, you could also have it the electric connector on a winch as well for up and down, that way you wouldn't have to do so much manual work.

@ProfNCognito instead of a cable attachment at the top why not make it a connector, have the crane on the boat go winch -> cable connector -> connector. This way you can auto attach to the bobber of the crab cage :)
