sticker prices are very high at the nat'l but i had decent success negotiating down to comp value especially sat/sun late in show

How do you decide on the range of cards? Like floor and ceiling?

If you walked up to my table with a what not wrist band on i would charge you 10 prices for raw too!

Using those Utra Pro’s is rough. They can be unkind to the bottom corners.

just my opinion but people want to complain and say someone dont give good deals when they are trying to buy the card for 80% or less so they can turn around and sell it for your asking prices or more so if they are people willing to pay the top price why no wait on them yourself

At my local card show here in Alabama I just ignore the big dealers and go to young guys or guys that are there with their kids selling cards etc and buy from them. The dealers are insanity prices, and are there just to steal cards from the unsuspecting independent sellers, ripping them off before the show even starts, for cards they can gouge everyone on ebay for later.

These card companies are ripping people off it's more like gambling than collecting. When you have to put odds on the backs of cards, go buy a scratch ticket, The cards of today are junk and they just make a card what,..one of one, who cares.

The dealers pay too much for tables that's why they will not deal, dealers are greedy.

Had no issues negotiating at the National. Picked up a PSA 10 Wemby pink below comps with little struggle, a Wemby silver raw for below comps and subbed it with BGS at the Natty and got a 9.5, a silver Luka graded for below comps by about $150 off comps, and several PSA AR rookies and every one was below comps and sticker price. Are there some dealers who are right there sure, but pass on those and move on to the next table of shiny stuff.

Love the content. I did a value bulk 25 card sub to PSA July 8th and it’s in the assembly process now, fingers crossed.

The dealers are trying to manipulate the market for all of their own benefits. It’s why there is an inner circle of influencers like Geoff Wilson that have invested so much money and looking to use cards like stocks. If they all stick together and artificially raise prices they will do it. They did this during the pandemic, all jumped in to make money, found out there was no money to be made and now are trying to make their own market. They want to be the “gate keepers” of the hobby. It’s exactly what Fanatics is doing with Topps. They don’t want the small market shops and dealers so they are setting their own rules on who can buy their products which is discrimination. Yet they’ll gladly take all of us small timers money after the dealers have ripped us off.

Last National I went to was Atlantic City. Same problem there. Enjoyed looking but bought nothing. There was no budging at all by dealers.

I do well gradeing my natinal pack cards my /50 richardson rookie gem 10 and my haliburton rookie zebra gem 10 i have a camo hali /25 im gonna send the card is clean but there is a small possible print line but could also be part of the camo boarder. If i gem that ill 💩 because people tell me im crazy for gradeing national pack cards

Everyone was complaining about the high prices at the national, the only people taking up for them were probably dealers who overprice their stuff

I didn't have that experience. most guys have been "tough" but not unreasonable.
