I like the fact that he is always taking notes and then later goes over all the details. He analyzes every piece of information. He is very insightful. His character is unique. He goes to the medical examiner, puts on gloves, and starts with his own hypothesis. It feels like watching forensic files.

"joanie" says it all below here...I have watched countless times this great actor, especially the Law & Order, CI...along with Kathryn Erbe, aka, Eames. I fell in love with "Eames" instantly and will keep watching endlessly, the episodes. She is much more than such a knockout...but she is very beautiful, she has all these expressions and says much w/out a lot of dialogue. I know I sound like a young teen or something but I just hope she, and "Goren" know they will forever have a following...finest actors.

Absolutely my favourite of the Law and Order franchise. Vincent is an amazing actor and I love watching him. I watch the reruns over many time. Thanks for your craft.

I am a huge fan of Vincent, and loved the early seasons of L&OCI ... but the show made a huge left turn to Political Correctness (as did all of the L&O shows) and it lost me. I even remember the scene ... he and the Kathryn Erbe (a flaming leftist liberal in real life) were on the rooftop standing at a shooter perch, and she said some line to the tune of "I can just see him in his Vote Bush t-shirt" ... and it was all downhill from there. I would almost bet that Erbe convinced the show-runner to let her use that line (not in original script).

I am a Law and Order fan. For me, Jack McCoy was it until recently. I decided to stream this series Criminal Intent and was blown away. I recognized him as King Ping and the comparison of the roles is truly awesome. Such a gifted actor -thank you for the experience Mr. D’onofrio!

I'm not a big Law and Order fan, except for Criminal Intent. And that's mainly because of Goren and Eames.

You know, it's one thing to be filming someone, it's another to stalk him/her.

He was brilliant as detective Goren, he MADE that show. I hate that his character didn’t get a real “ending” though, it just ended without any real finale.

I've never considered Criminal Intent to be in the same class as the others of the same name. It's far, far superior in so many ways n intelligently scripted. To me it's a totally different program. I even call it the Eames n Goren Show. Kathryn n Vincent work with their characters in a way that's streets ahead of the rest of the franchise, of which i don't watch. Their characters are different but understand eachother n play off eachother very well. I've admired n adored Vincent D'Onofrio for many years ♥️. He can interrogate me, privately, at my gaff, any ol' time 😀😏!!

Why isn't your criminal intent in reruns?

One of the rarest times we seen Bobby lose his cool and mind is when Eames was taken, he didn’t get one second of sleep and was ready to put his hands on anybody that knew anything about what happened to her including his beloved mentor, a mentor he hugged so warmly when we saw him and by the way it was the first time I think we seen Bobby be so friendly with someone not even Eames. I really liked him more after that episode. He’s normally so calm and collected even when facing horrible unspeakable crimes but let him think his Eames is hurt and watch him go berserk

Never watched CI until a month ago. This guy is an incredibly actor and the only reason to watch reruns of CI. Such a crush on him😍😍😍😍
