No reason to overthink it: curves/levels and transparency does it 99% of time. Blending mode: add. Also time remapping for time sync.

Just please, for JHF'ing C . . . don't use old film effects on stuff that is set after the 60's or so! It is like showing something set in the 1980's . . . in B&W with no sound (and lots of scratches and such)

Amazing, I love the way you walk us through the process in simple terms. Is there a way to change the rate of wiggle in the timeline using key frames? I have the wiggles, but I want to create some 'splices' where the film abruptly 'jumps',

Please Answer i want to be an editor which specs should i pick? Ryzen 5 6600H 16/512GB Or i7 8300H with gtx 1050/ti???
@MotionScience24 күн бұрын
The gtx doesn’t help much with editing, but I would go with the i7

This makes a lot of sense. I'm a veteran in photoshop but new to after effects and I can definitely see how it's way to time consuming to prepare every element in photoshop. I'm thinking about paying for your courses. Do you use this workflow of directly designing in after effects when possible for all your tutorials?
@MotionScience24 күн бұрын
Yes, I focus on the process of designing in After Effects in my courses.

Thanks. I did this whole of last week. Then i forgot how to do it. Now the 2nd viewer is just a replica of my 1st viewer, and vice versa, no matter which comp i try to change them to (next to the lock icon), the damn thing changes the other viewer too which defeats the purpose. I dont know how i got it to stick to a comp with some random keyboard shortcut or mouse click, but it was by fluke and i couldnt repeat it. Now i realize maybe the LOCK icon should be LOCKED after choosing the needed view.
@MotionScience23 күн бұрын
You have to lock the comp viewer to whatever comp you need to stay in the viewer

@@MotionScience Thanks for replying. On the day i posted the above itself i found another video on youtube that explained the process and so could solve the urgent problem. Best wishes.

Pls add the link to the raw footage so that we can practice and ensure that the effects we put in, give the same output, and we got it right.

From the title, yes, it's not about supercomputer which makes me very angry on adobe how crappy their apps are like after effects. Totally not optimized.

Awesome Tutorial ! Thanks quite a lot. Question: Is there an equvialent way of doing this in photoshop? Or am I stuck with the "screen blend mode" or the "Blend if" sliders?. Thanks and have a great week.
