Happy memories of student days when everyone gathered in my room to drink my coffee made, of course, with a Cona! The one drawback with the Cona is that being glass, sooner or later some part of it breaks.

Finally the only issue is that it takes much more time to be done and can't be done without you assisting (wait for water to bowl to put the top part in place, then wait for the process to be done to put the cap on and then wait for the last process to be done to remove the top part, is that it ?

A stainless steel french press is really the way to go. Plus it keeps the coffee warm . Glass ones can't do that.

@chadrobertson741929 күн бұрын
It's 2 tablespoons per cup. So if you have a 12 cup maker. You need 24 tablespoons. 6 cups is 12 tablespoons etc. Less if you like it weaker.

So the handle knob comes off and you have to keep track of two items? It would be better if the know was somehow incorporated.

when the coffee makers refer to 1 cup they mean 6 oz not 8 oz. rice seller are the same way when tell you 1 cup of rice the mean 3/4 of a cup.?? I don't know why. why don't they say what they mean??

Great video. One question. What filters do you use for 8-12 cups? I'm having trouble finding tall sided filters. I don't want the coffee grounds overflowing the filter

James Hoffman, the guru of coffee says it is all about taste and what you like. If you use the recommended amount on the bag, you are wasting coffee. I brew with a Breville Precision machine. In the morning I load 60 oz of water and eight level tablespoons of fresh ground coffee beans. At night I make two cups of coffee, and I use 5 tablespoons of ground beans. My drinking cup holds two measured cups of coffee or 16 oz's

You won't get the 4 cups you expected because the grounds in the filter basket will retain some water. You should've used approx. 4.5 cups of water to get your 4 full cups of coffee.

I really like the grinder. Very solid build. Flawless finish. Love how the handle locks to the top with a push button. Only gripe I have is it only holds 20 grams of coffee at a time. The company told me they extensively tested it and it can hold 30 to 35. Ive tried every bean I have and it holds 20 if you crush the lid on. Anyone getting more than 20 in it. One of the reasons I got this one was to grind 30 for my aeropress. No luck. And 20 once ground fills the catch cup right to the top.

The best method is to use a ratio of grams of coffee to 1 liter of water. Invest in an accurate set of kitchen scales. 60 grams of coffee to 1 liter of water is a good starting point. For imperial units that ratio would be 2.1 ounces of coffee to 34 ounces of water. You can then decide if you want your coffee stronger or weaker. As a side note, a traditional “cup” of coffee is 5 ounces. That was set back in the 1970’s by Mr. Coffee and was eventually accepted by the majority of manufacturers of drip coffee makers.☕️

It’s a matter of timing when making coffee while waiting on a frother……don’t want the coffee to cool down because it got made too quickly and the frother still had a long way to go…. 😊 Thanks for this video!
@bradley75067 ай бұрын
I’m waiting for mine to arrive. Looks like a lot of milk to get it to the minimum line…..hopefully I don’t end up with a lot of milk waste in case the frother makes more at minimum than I need…..will see I guess.

A very handy tip from KZfaq. Put the water through the machine once without the coffee grounds. Then pour the hot water back in the tank, then put it through again with the coffee grounds in place. You get better coffee.

If you put in 40oz but push the half carafe button it will only brew 20 of the 40oz of water you put in, correct?

No. It will brew the entire reservoir. The 2-4 cup button controls how the hot water from the showerhead is dispensed.
