I seen Allen Collins at brasseys in coaco beach fla. In 1983 played free bird with a mike up front. and no singer,,Allen could sure pick. What a great show!

Awesome again Dunsy. Bob's guitar time used to knock your teeth in. Wish they weren't so positively medicated during those sst recordings and production would have sounded better. Perhaps a celebrated summer cover would be appropriate.

I was the drummer for Legend and saw this awesome clip when you first released it. I immediately posted it to Pete and he commended your playing saying the chords were “ spot on “ 👌 Great job !

Fireflies are great guitars for the price. I wish this crop of guitars would've been around when I had started playing gigs. It was crap guitars, like I had. Or nice Fender or Gibson guitars like the more well off kids had. Nice playing too! Your playing reminds me Mark Knoppfler.

Now lets see the video where you put it back in the box. When all of the switch positions sound the same, that's a deal killer.

When you buy a guitar you should already know if your fingers are of such size that to put 3 tips down on the A-major chord is either: comfortable and NOT jamming the fret space and jamming the A string and the e string OR you can't reliably play a clean A-major chord with 3 tips. The industry is hung-up on 1.75 inch for the top-nut - as if INTERNATIONAL LAW will shut them down if they go 1.875, or 2.000, or 2.125 inches for top-nut. And for 12-strings some of them still use 1.75" !!! BUT, firefly has maple neck. Most 12-strings have mahogany neck and they can SNAP but usually warp. Insist that the company TELLS you precisely the top-nut measure and the neck material - do not believe the written posted specs. For a working man, you truly best have 2" top-nut or bigger for a 12-string. The usual large measure is 1.875" and this still sucks. I say for the money, and the Firefly generally, is great, but the narrow top-nut sucks for working men. (I'm judging it by eye to be 1.750".)

Hi Dunsy, I was surprised myself but when I saw the back where the covers didn't cover the holes completely but $160 is unbeatable for somebody that can't afford a decent guitar like me the Squier man, lol. The month of July in Fresno California was 115 the most but hotter than usual. Good to see you. Is this the first time you've been to the states? Nice home you stayed at, you have some good friends or fans. Peace 🕊️ Dunsy.

12:30 If you strap the neck to your leg, you’d walk with a limp through customs but could explain about the old injury; it needs a splint and you have this neck to hand in case of such medical eventuality. I’m sure I remember hearing about the time you fell off stage and have never been the same since. You were ok but I never recovered fully.

Hi Dunsy, it’s been a while, but that’s no reflection on your great channel my friend. You surprised me with this one. Stainless steel frets on this Firefly?? Are you kidding me?? The sound was incredible, especially for the money. Loved this upload, brother man 👍🏻 The temperature is about normal, brother 😂. About the same here in East Texas. We overcome that with great air conditioning, brother man 👍🏻

Oh, man - that was hot! 🥵 Not just the guitar with a roasted body! 😂 Still, not to be deterred - there’s Dunsy on day 2 with his proper 🧢 Now, that’s what I call commitment! Props.🫡 Loved the slide guitar jam - just off to hear that again now 🎸🙂👍

Will you not get ripped off by British customs when trying to get it into the country?
@DunsysGuitarWorldКүн бұрын
Hopefully not - postage for the neck on its own was $42 and I marked it as a “Gift”, value of $35.

@@DunsysGuitarWorld I knew a guy from Glasgow somewhere. He used to play in a glam rock band and a punk bank and he used to buy melody makers and the like everytme he was in America. He told me he used to break the headstock off them and bring them back in. He said he didn't get charged that way. He would just repair them when he got home. I couldn't do that. Ide feel like a right you know what. He was a wild drunkerd and I don't think he was completely sane, but that's what he used to do and I believed him as he showed me his handywork (or should I say footwork) and his eh.... "professional repairs".

Nice one, Dunsy! I had a chance to play a Firefly semi hollow about a year ago and it felt good. At least as good as any Harley Benton that I've played. I dig the look of it. Will it make the cut for a Twisted Nerve gig? Kinda hope so. As always, you played it well!

Great t shirt. I was only listening to In The Beginning the other day in my car. It's a pity their 2nd album was shite. Have you heard Mind Funk's debut album. Tracks 1,2 and 4 are great. There were some great bands who came and went in that period, Love /Hate to name just one.
