I just read a review about this Amity Corp .I understand that everyone has different experiences but i thought you should know. the reviewer said that it will work you the hardest. She was placed at a school where the teachers were told to clock out at 9:30pm but remain for extra work. The lesson materials were outdated. Students are either not tested or properly tested because beginners are put in a class of intermediate learners so this slows down the students and teacher. This reviewer concluded like this..................... Which leads me to the last point... Amity is a revolving door. Not only for the teachers, but sadly the children who are at the mercy of a very incompetent management. You will be under great pressure to work extremely hard and you will feel a great deal of guilt if you try to take days off. Also, try not to get sick, because the staff will most likely call you and ask you to come to work regardless.

This is quite insightful, I commend you for doing research on it as well. Experiences differ, I havent worked with them , however, i did interview with them. Thank you for sharing this for other subscribers who are considering working for this company.

True, true ,true, However, it all depends with where you decide to live and how much you are paid. More central locations are expensive, but places in the New Territories are generally cheaper.

I have 2 points to make. A lot of these countries are just so uninformed about what constitutes "Native English Speaker". South Africa is country with so many languages but has English as its official language. There're many other countries in Africa with similar situation but they're not considered for teaching jobs, because they're not considered native speakers, which makes perfect sense. So my question for them is how do you consider only South Africa, amongst all other countries in Africa that have their own native languages but uses English as an official language, but you don't consider people from countries like Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria with the exact same situation for these teaching jobs? Let me guess.......it must be "The White Man is English" Stereotype thing. In other words, there's a widely held stereotype believe in Asia that White People are English, are expected to speak English and are all from Native English Speaking Countries. So if you're born in Russia or Germany and hold a US or British passport with a degree from these countries, you could easily decieve them, as long as you're capable of speaking with the accents of these countries. So regardless of your race, if you're from South Africa, even though its White population isn't even up to a quarter of the population of the country, then you qualify as native English Speaker as well. 😂😮😂😮😂😮😂😮😂😮 Secondly, Japan needs to get adapted to the changing work dressing culture. It's just too much of the suit wearing thin in that country. They don't pay that much compared with other developed nations, yet they want you to spend money on suits, instead of cheaper T-shirts and Jeans. Most people would rather not suit up if they have the choice. Who wants to feel bundled up, instead of dressing to feeling more comfortable and relaxed. I don't own a suit, I have only owned one all my life and I'm just not interested in wearing them, especially not everyday

great information. ma'am, I'm a non native speaker with an excellent command over the english language. i have also completed my graduation in english language and literature. going to enroll myself into a tefl certification course. can you make a video on how to and where to find jobs as a fresher after getting done w TEFL. it would be a relief if you make a video on how to get started on my tefl journey as a fresher.
