Great video, thank you! Re:Coil is awesome. I’ll try this routine next time with mousse gel as a “finisher” - like you, I got junk hold with it on its own. And yes to the AG recoil vs Curl Fresh battle. It’s hard to think I’d prefer it over Recoil tho!

Ur hair looks great. U might wanna try the L’Oreal Everpure clarifying shampoo. It’s low cost and I wash my hair daily and it is a pretty good daily shampoo. Doesn’t leave me stripped. If I need super clarifying I’ll use something else maybe monthly but for daily use this is good!

I like ReCoil, but have to be careful not to use too much. I recently got the Curl Fresh Definer and am still playing around with what to best pair it with. I'd like to see your thoughts. The Liquid Effects gives me slightly more cast than the Mousse Gel, but not much.
@Linas_lovelylocks

Agreed. It's definitely easy to overdue the Re:Coil. Now that you mention it, I don't think I commented on it, but this routine did give me a very slight cast. But the mousse on its own, I don't think it did.

Your hair looks fabulous!!! I have a question about your diffuser. I have the same one that I use with the silicone band that holds it on my dryer. The diffuser keeps falling off. I think the heat softens the silicone sleeve. Does that happen to you? If not, what kind of dryer do you have? That Orchid diffuser is heavy.
@Linas_lovelylocks
@Linas_lovelylocks 6 күн бұрын
Oh thank you! Great question! The orchid diffuser actually used to fit my dryer...but I dropped it one too many times and it broke enough that I had to use the Snozzle. I have been having issues with the diffuser coming off. I think part of it is the diffuser doesn't have a whole lot of a lip for the rubber to grab onto. But also, you may be right. Maybe the heat softens it, so it doesn't work as well. I had actually tried to rebuy the same diffuser and the one that came had a much smaller attachment , so I had to return it. I've been contemplating using a small amount of duct tape to keep it on 😂 either that or buying a different one.
@simplycurlyde

I have the same issue! I was thinking of wrapping it with a zip tie. Just wish the neck of the diffuser was a little longer.

I Like the Idea of making a product work for you a Lot! It is true, that changing your routine does a lot. You convinced me to get a boar bristle brush but i got the vegan version. It does wonders for my wavier sections, that dont curl so easy. Looks almost Like i used a curling wand 😮❤ I also figured to adjust the amount of products i dont like. For example i have a very nice leave in i use a lot of and then I top it with a bit of the curl cream i dont like 😂 Great Video and great advice as Always 😊
@Linas_lovelylocks
@Linas_lovelylocks 6 күн бұрын
I find that I can make most work for me in some way ☺️ your suggestions are great! Sometimes a change in routine can be very helpful. I love my boar bristle brushes, but yes, the vegan ones do tend to be a bit more gentle. They work great though. 😁 And lol agreed. If I really don't love a leave-in or curl cream, I do the same. Just use a very small amount of it paired with something that does work better. Eventually the bottle will be empty.

not me coming to this video when I experienced the foam thing 🤣🤣 pro tip though, sometimes if I see that there's foam coming out, i wet my hands and do the praying method on my curls over the sink. i style my hair wet so usually it's not a huge issue for me personally but i found it useful
@Linas_lovelylocks
@Linas_lovelylocks 6 күн бұрын
Lol so glad I'm not alone! I've actually found I don't mind as much when it does foam up because that does mean I can scrunch out the extra more easily, like you said, especially if the hair is wet enough. Styling your hair wet definitely has some extra benefits.

hi Lina , nice video presentation! thank you for the tip! l have been experimenting with a lot of different products last few months, l didn’t know products expire even though l can’t find expiration date on them, shelf life of two years for most of them l heard on a video presentation someone said… that is why l haven’t bought more products lately, but there’s still more products l want to try 😁 l feel some of them didn’t really work that well for me, so l am going to try them on their own … gift them if they don’t work? that way l don’t throw them away when they expire?
@Linas_lovelylocks
@Linas_lovelylocks 12 күн бұрын
A lot of products are hard to tell. They don't exactly have an expiration date in them. But many will have what looks like a small tub on them with a number inside. Often 12 or 18 or 24 with an m after them to show they're good for that many months. But not all products have them. And it's also hard to say if that's more of a recommendation as opposed to them saying it's gone bad at that point. I'd use your best judgement on it. If a product is changing color or starting to smell different, get rid of it. I do tend yu gift a lot if unused product though. 😅 it's a good way to get rid of it before it does go bad. That way someone else can hopefully get use from it.

@@Linas_lovelylocks yes maybe. I also think this would be great if one needs to freshen up ones haircut. I think i would estimate an hour for my hair. But honestly the pigtail cuts take some time as well, so i can make sure everything is even. 😅
@Linas_lovelylocks
@Linas_lovelylocks 18 күн бұрын
That's true. It could work well just to help reshape things a bit and trim ends. I've done this before without as much reshaping and it is a bit quicker. But that's also a good point. The quicker techniques can still take time. Sometimes I have to try to get my hair in the right spot for the ponytail several times 😅 so when you factor those things in, it makes me feel a little better about the time I put in

I have tried it a couple of times, after seeing Marisa's 1st video. I have gone over & did some curl by curl cut even after I went & had my hair cut done by a hairdresser. I was not happy that she started to use thinning shears. She made me feel rushed & so I didn't get to tell everything I wanted and didn't want. Needless to say, never going back to her.

Beautiful results! I have been finding alot of Twist products at the Dollar Tree! The oil, lotion, refresher, co wash, shampoo & conditioner, Bounce Boss, bond repair and primer. Love all of your suggestions. For some reason, I can't put hairspray on my hair before I break the cast. If I do, it totally frizzes up. I heard it was supposed to give extra hold, not for my hair. Summer hair with the humidity sucks. If I can get at least 2 good hair days in the summer, I'm good! Tfs! Blessings!

Actually I think it is nice to show “off” results. Even tho it really wasn’t horrible. This allows the audience to actually see how the products performed in your hair instead of the perfect results brands want you to see. I also liked that you added the reason you felt you got the results you did. That helps others learn about their hair behaviors as well.

Thank you ☺️ I tend to agree with you and its part of why I decided to post it in the end. I'm trying to let go of the idea that my hair needs to be perfect all the time because I want others to know that theirs doesn't always have to be perfect either. Not only that, but I think it's good you show that all of us have wash day results that aren't what we were hoping for. And you're definitely right. It wasn't that bad. The results still looked pretty good.
