Erika it is really sad that you and your boyfriend Cory Jackson would lie about him serving in the military and being given a honorable discharge. Why would you and Cory Jackson publish a video on KZfaq that, is Stolen Valor. Shame on you both. My family are veterans.

Very motivational video, Erika, and you look great. If I weren't sick as a dog from the pollen I'd go out and do some sprints right now. After my physical peak of my entire life two years ago, school got in the way and i've since gained 45 pounds... Guess it's time to burn it off ONCE AGAIN.

I was asked to leave from my first IDPA competition after raising the muzzle above the plane of the backstop at the end of two courses of fire. This occurred as i brought the pistol back towards my body and due to natural grip the barrel tilts up about 15 degrees. I followed their safety procedures to the best of my ability, and understand their concerns. But to not allow me a chance to correct something that concerned the safety officer, it has prevented me from returning to try their range again. Maybe I'll find a different range to practice in the future. Not many options where I live unless I pay $40 per visit for indoor, or drive nearly an hour for a public spot in the woods.

Robert Conrath "But to not allow me a chance to correct something that concerned the safety officer, it has prevented me from returning to try their range again." Take responsibility for your actions. Getting a DQ didn't "prevent" you from returning to their range, you made a decision, based on butthurt, not to return. You grasp, on some level, that this is a dishonorable reason to refrain from going back, so you externalize it and make it someone else's fault. When I got my first DQ, I stayed, helped paste and took score and made *certain* to return the next month, lesson learned, with a good attitude. That's how you build respect and credibility. That range is much better off without you than you are without them.

Oh stayed for the entire match and helped tape and score the remaining 5 courses of fire for the other competitors. I was respectful and asked if I could stick around and watch. This individual was ok with that. I plan on enrolling at another range sometime soon. I have avoided going back there specifically because there were no teaching points made from my DQ by the individual overseeing our group.

Disagree with the a revolver comment Ganja. Glocks are as proven as a "revolver" not to mention having more then 6 shots is always a plus in a gun fight.

Okay, as an instructor and a gunsmith I do have to say I agree with about 90% of your arguments and 100% of your conclusions. BUT, huge BUT, I have to take issue with the "gun shop expert" tag. As someone who runs a shop that sells guns, works on them as a smith and armorer, and instructs men and women on the proper use and implementation, I am as are you and the rest of the people at your "school house", subject matter experts. The biggest problem I have ever seen when it comes to women purchasing their first firearm is NOT listening to the gun shop expert and listening to (usually) their husband or worse; their father. The first question I have asked every female customer "what is the purpose of this purchase? Self defense, home defense, etc. Then I ask their experience. Now, I will admit I push Glock, but that's for their quality, not because the 25 dollar profit my shop makes from selling that gun vs the 35 I would make selling the Sig or 24.50 for the M&P. The shop expert is usually the best source for a reason. Sure, there is always a Carl, but you can figure that out within 10 minutes. Other then that, I am happy to see a female instructor making video's with advise. I have turned a few of my female clients to yours and a couple of other video sites. Continue the great work, thanks.
