Concordo, as filosofias humanas estão ocupando um espaço e eu já ouvi pessoas falando que a psicologia preenche o que a Palavra de Deus não preenche. É mais importante um pastor ser psicólogo do que teológico. A psicologia pode identificar alguns comportamentos humanos mas não tem poder ou autoridade para curar an alma humana. Quantos as pessoas que receberam ajuda psicológica, que bom. Eu tenho uma pessoa na minha família que com a ajuda da psicologia , descobriu-se que sofrerá um abuso, mas a psicologia não pode curár an alma dele. Eu não posso usar uma experiência pessoal como um argumento contra as Escrituras. São as Escrituras que contam não sua experiência pessoal.

Não esperava essa falta de compreensão e entendimento do Paul Washer. Ele é um monstro de Bíblia, Teologia e pregação. Acho que hoje em dia ele já deve ter corrigido a visão dele sobre isso, não é possível.

Considering the sovereign election of God, apart from anything a person does or doesn't do, why so emphatic on something nobody can change? It's like preaching a sermon on, "The sun must rise tomorrow morning!" Why not first preach on... "You must be born!" The answer is because emphasizing election for self costs less than emphasizing a love for others. Yet which is more like Christ?

And to answer the lost individual, the validation that the Bible is true is you have God who became man who walked with 12 individuals for three years and they heard him predict his persecution and death and also his resurrection from the dead and then he through his sovereignty accomplished all of it. Then those 11 individuals, including Paul, who became an apostle later, went out and died violent deaths, not for a lie, but for the truth, and that truth being the person of Jesus Christ, who is God.

What the lost individual cannot allow himself to accept is that God can simultaneously hate, or the meaning behind the Hebrew word is too detest the sinner, but at the same time show a very general love for that same sinner by showing common grace. This is man’s problem, man will not let God be God as he has described himself in his revelation the Bible, but like this man has done, he inserted himself as the authority to say I think this is what God should be like. Fails every time.

If the logic applied to get to the place of saying definitively that a man needs to be uncovered in order to not shame his “head” authority is used for the woman, than she needs to wear a covering. For the same reasons a man should be uncovered. Just because all the sources and “theological giants” that he read don’t give a definitive answer, doesn’t mean they are all right. I struggle to understand the refusal to take a position after preaching for 2 hours on the subject and doing a fabulous job of exposition. What is a leader? Someone who makes suggestions?

Greg Bahnsen offered nothing of substance here. "I don't like implications of naturalism" is not a refutation of it. Unfortunate truths are still truths. Where is the refutation of the truth of naturalism?
