i would have to say universe sandbox is better and this is why: You can't place you're object freely around and that just sucks and idk how to make stuff orbit eachother like make rings

The reason why the moon is getting closer instead of farther away is because the moon is orbiting faster than the planet's day (which appears to be infinite in this simulation). Our moon, however, orbits slower than a day, and so it actually gets accelerated instead of decelerated by the same process.
