You say it so casually as if its something everyone can do. What china did is not only impressive but its impossible. For so many countries around the world, this is just inpossible. It is beyond impressive. These comparisons are so superficial. Its sounds like this analysis is from a western person. For asians, we see things a bit more in depth. It has a lot to do with culture, education, hard work to name a few. But there are so many underlying reasons why asia became the world hub.

The South Korea was aligned to America in hating and helped in killing thousands of North Koreans that did not align to American controls...Ghana was looking for complete freedom from France, British and American rule. The first truly elected leader of Ghana was killed in a coupe by France and the CIA. Think why is there a North and South Korea? How did one of the most loved presidents of Ghana killed? Bullshit. It's just the culture that hindered progress. Africans have an zero-sum approach where majority of individuals in the population care about personal gain at the expense of others. South Korean people had more of positive sum approach with socialistic values (though today they are more capitalists thanks to America). All the countries in Africa and Asia still blame colonialism. However, they never accept their own bad decisions and cultures responsible for current problems they have. Africa is way rich in terms of resources. However, corruption, personal greed and risk avoidance renders people with a mediocre life.

If the IMF hadn't lent Kenya, they'd have had to default on their existing loans. But the IMF will only lend their money on their terms (surprise surprise) Blaming the IMF is an old politicians trick , it remains and has always been their reckless expenditure that has led to nations borrowing from IMF.... And it's that recklessness that the IMF tries to mitigate with it's conditions

I think it can be said that when he was first elected and began speaking out against the injustices on our people etc, we in the diaspora was cheering him on, because we thought he was saying things that needed to be said. But eventually, just like that bullfrog leader in Ghana, they're good with words and know the right things to say to pull you in. But that's all it was, just words!! We started to see the real person and didn't like what we saw. He couldn't give a toss about his own people, now he has shown his contempt for them. He runs around the world in the expensive vehicles, cars, planes or whatever, when he could show his empathy with what his countrymen are going through by doing the right things, but when questioned about it, he make light of it and treat it as a joke! Now you can see what he really thinks about his fellow man, imposed unfair taxes on them, expecting them to just accept and keep their mouths shut. He sent out his military to shoot and kill the protesters, the young people whose lives he's making a misery. Then he went out and lied to justify his actions.
