I do have one question… does it have small and large feeding tube capabilities?
@chefkibbyАй бұрын
The feed tube has THREE options: a small circular tube for carrots and cukes and the like, a medium tube, and the full feed tube. It’s quite versatile!

I recently bought a decent food processor. It took me 40 minutes the other night just to get it to chop some ingredients! (The instructions weren't very clear but maybe my head is a bit too fuzzy to process it well.) I don't know if I've got an attachment that will spiralise zucchini but I'm sure going to look to see what I can use. I also bought an electric peeler recently (arthritis etc are making simple tasks more difficult for me) and it has a julienne blade. I was thinking I could move the peeler around the zucchini to get long, continuous strips. I've changed my diet to a low carb one and I love bolognese sauce so I really have to find a good way to make a spaghetti substitute. Looks like I'm in for a lot of experimentation. Your first zoodle was SOOO long. I hope mine turn out half as well. Thanks for sharing.

As I was watching this episode, it got me to thinking about the relationship with the kids I have in my life that I'm responsible for. Your analysis of flavor and the sensation of which doesn't come from the food itself, but from our receptors, was intriguing. The connection made sense regarding how it could be applied to the relationships in our lives. I would add the sense of feeling, tactiley, as an important factor as well. With food, how we perceive enjoyment or dislike, not only relies on the flavor experience, but the tactile experience of the food as well. The mouth feel if you will. My experience is that I really dislike jello, not because of the flavor I experience, but the feel of it in my mouth is off-putting to me. But, ice cream on the other hand, gives me a pleasant feeling while eating it. I believe the same can be said about children. Adding in hugs, pats on the back and shoulders, will most likely create a more pleasant experience, and hopefully encouraging a building of a good relationship between adult and child. A 3D sensory experience of sort. I hope this makes sense and doesn't distract from your message in this episode. Keep up the great work. I enjoy listening to your podcast.

@chefkibby10 ай бұрын
Thank you for the question! I am of the opinion that no kitchen cutlery should go in the dishwasher; there are too many opportunities for the blade to get damaged, thereby making it more dull and less safe. I always recommend hand washing all knives!

How do you attach the flat top to the small bowl? Thank you for your explanations but I find the bowls and lids difficult to attach to each other.

Great question! The small bowl fits inside of the standard work bowl, and an extender fits over the post to allow a special blade attachment connect to the motor. Then the standard lid goes on top. It’s just that easy!

Thanks for your feedback! This video was recorded nearly two years ago, and unfortunately I don’t have the ability to talk about the future when I’m making a video, so I can only speak on what I know at the time. Furthermore, the FP-13 is still available through Cuisinart today; I should know because I just had to order a replacement work bowl just yesterday. I stand by everything I said in this video, and much of the application as far as using it to get kids involved in the kitchen is still relevant and useful no matter what model of food processor you have. I hope this helps!

Hi! Would the size of this cooktop work well with a 12 inch skillet? Or would you need a smaller skillet in order to cook well. Thanks!
@chefkibby2 жыл бұрын
Great question! You can use a larger skillet. I’ve used up to 12”. However, the majority of the heat will be generated in that center circle. The rest of the pan will get hot, but there is a noticeable difference between inside and outside the magnetic field. I hope that helps!
@marcuszini29592 жыл бұрын
@@chefkibby thank you! What size skillet would you typically recommend? 9”? 10”? Thanks!
@chefkibby2 жыл бұрын
It really depends on what you’re trying to cook and how much of it. The larger the pan, the wider the surface area that is available to make contact with the food, even if it’s not directly over the burner. Whatever you do, don’t overcrowd your pan!

This is going to sound pretty silly. With the two blades which one is the dough blade? Is it the one that sits lower or the one that sits higher? Great video by the way!
@chefkibby2 жыл бұрын
Great question! There are in fact THREE sets of spinning blades with this set: a standard blade for the big bowl, a shorter standard blade for the 4-cup insert, and a plastic dough blade that only fits the large bowl. There is no smaller dough blade, but you typically won’t use the smaller bowl for making dough. Does that help?
