My house is haunted.... banging noises in the attic, strange unknown sounds....sometimes it sounds like someone is running up and down the stairs.... smoke detectors going off for no reason.... etc..... would a priest blessing my house make it go away? Another one - strange growling sounds.... Very demonic stuff.... really badly haunted. Should I just get my family out of this house?

I am moving in a couple of weeks into a house built in the 50s. Was an old priest house apparently converted. People we are buying off split and it was a bad split I feel the need to get the house blessed because of thr negative aspect of this. Am I right to do this?

I would never read from some ritual, I would simply pray to Christ and reach out with the Holy Spirit.. Perhaps quote some key Scriptures from the Word as well such as John 3:16 or any passage that declares God or The Son's love and sovereignty over the universe. They really hate hearing those things. A man with a pure heart and the Holy Spirit has power over demons and devils. They will tremble and run in fear at the presence of the Holy Spirit.

And you have a crying kid and a disrespectful young woman constantly passing by the priest and in front of him like he is not even there during the ceremony. Do they act like that at mass? I am not trying to be mean. But. When you post videos. You open yourself up to people's opinions. And mine is. You need to teach your kids respect for the things of God. Because if whatever was in that house had decided to fight back during the service. All of you would have been in trouble!! There was a point where I could not even hear the priest over the kid.

catholic blessings work only because they are done in Christ's name.

In Catholicism, a house blessing can not be performed unless those who reside in the house are present for it. A child's talking can't compare with the power of Jesus, especially when Jesus Himself repeatedly talked about the merits of children. Get over yourselves, and learn a bit about what you're talking about before talking about it next time.

When a priest blessing a house you should hear only the priest's voice and nothing else!!! You should have put the child in another room. The blessing might not work because of your child.

That kid needs a good slap, and the mother needs to tidy up. That would have solved the problem.
