The member performing it will likely learn a ton of scratching techniques over the course of the summer, I’m sure it’ll be more interesting later. They’re basically doing what is called a “baby scratch” the whole time.

Yikes! My Ears hurt. I've now watched and listed to this 5:11 Bombastic "Glitch" a half-dozen times. Where's the rest of "Glitch" music book? The Scratching Record effects, heard throughout the second arraignment, IMHO, IS a huge irritating distraction Glitch itself👎. PERSONAL OBSERVATION: Uniform designers. NO EXCUSE for the careless, explicit and Colorful Corps "junk" on display in this video. A more aesthetically pleasing uniform appearance can be attained through use of tan "dance belts" under such tight lycra uniforms. More crucial is"securing the protection of the male genitals". Todays ever increasing demands of the marching members, in the execution of such diverse performance movements, demands them. BE SAFE, MARCH ON BOSTON.

Do remember, this is still early in the season. Speaking as a guy who does audio for a high school band, the mix when you’re down in front is far different from the mix when you’re up in a stadium. Certain elements are going to feel a bit overpowering. I’m sure when we see it all from above it will make more sense. And I’m sure they’ll make adjustments throughout the season as the show progresses.
@daviddressler1666Ай бұрын
And let’s not forget that in venues like this the pit is always in front which is where the mics usually are. Therefore the brass and even the battery aren’t heard as much. Later on in the season in stadiums like Alamodome Altanta Allentown Lucas Oil the size of those venues will naturally balance it out.
@daviddressler1666Ай бұрын
Actually pit is in front all the time I am sure the scratch effects won’t be overwhelming.

Today is May 29th 2024. I am listening to them once again, approximately 5 years since the last time I came across this clip. We no longer have real drum and people of course today, DCI in my opinion has turned it into a marching band competition, superimposed on a three-ring circus. No offense to those that are playing these days but call it what it is it's a marching band it is not, a drum and bugle c o r p s❤❤😢😢🎉🎉

Probably 130db, louder than a jet airplane. You would have to see it live to appreciate it.

This is a good drill. New listening context (being next to different voices), covering, sprinting. I've done it in a few corps and always enjoyed it.
