Do the circles just pop out? Did that cut it all the way through?

The circles were cut to half the depth of the foam. using the Epilog software you can set different cutting power and vector cut lines using the colour mapping feature. You can assign power and speed to assorted lines in your design to RGB values for your hairline cut lines.

U have a question, I have the pc600 & I keep getting the #3 light & setup light blinking...how do I fix this or any advise will b extremely helpful

The most basic error can be If you move the cartridge to another position the error will follow to that new position which could indicate a poor barcode label, incorrect barcode label (The PC60 and PC600 are different labels so using a PC60 cart or label will flag up the error). If all your labels are correct, then it could be colour assignment in your design to spot colour cartridges, it could also be a fault cartridge or mis alighted cartridge pickup scroll wheel. Ideally you need the service manual so you can run through all the checks and settings. I haven't got the PC600 any more so I'm just trying to remember how it worked as I know I had the same issues many times when I used mine.

@@TheAPGraphics I appreciate u my friend..i ended up opening it up cuz it started giving me different errors...low & behold mice got in it & chewd up some of the ribbon cables..gotta find another cable somewhere..in the mean time I will just buy a generic cutter ..maybe uscutter ..but something cheap thatll work on roland drivers

It says 10x laser speed. If the video is 2:26 long, it would be about 24 minutes and 20 seconds.

Hi, the drivers are only available up to Windows XP so if you have a newer Windows 7 or above you will need to run XP on a virtual machine on your PC system, or obtain a cheap PC with XP on just to run the Roland PC-600. 3:51 I wouldn't call that a very accurate cutting. Never the less this machine offers unique solutions for special low qty orders, I just wonder how pricey the consumables must be.

It might not look accurate to the print but this graphic was printed on clear using mirror silver and mirror red with a .5mm contour cut line around the print hence the clear edge. However this follows the print to .1mm. Hope this clears the accuracy up from the FX print to cut on the Envision 375.

Epilog machines are great but the Canadian service is bad. I have been trying to fix my laser with no help from them. After waiting more than six weeks the technician finally arrived to fix my machine it had a small problem and after he left my machine was not working at all. When I called to ask him to come back as my machine was not working l and I have orders to complete, he informs me that I need to pay a thousand dollars for the work and the parts he changed based on his recommendations. I am sorry to say this as I have been happy and loyal customer using Epilog machines since 2002. Now I need a new machine but it most defiantly is not going to be Epilog. If you are in Canada and consider buying an Epilog Machines DO NOT make the same mistake as I did. Only few centers to repair your machine cross Canada. This technician is the only doctor for eastern part of the country. Hope your machine does not break down or you are at the mercy of one technician. When Canadian Engravers had the Epilog representation they were great I wish they go back to them.

ok thank you, very helpful. so which is the best set up in your opinion?, windows xp+corel which version, 9 or 10? and paralel port if available, thats the optimum option? Thanks in advance, possibly i will buy one very soon in my country. Also the printhead is faulty as said or if you take care of it, clean regularly has long life, what is your experience?

The driver will only work up to XP so the only option is a PC with XP or run XP in a virtual machine within windows 7/ 8/ 10. I ran in from XP and then from windows 7 after an upgrade with no issues. I only ran it from Corel and use Corel mainly and any versions from Corel 8 through to the latest X8 should be fine. Keeping the printhead clean is a must on these as any dirt will damage the head very easily.

If you have XP then yes there will be no issue with that setup. I'm in UK. Cartridges are easy to refill and are all the same, the barcode label on the cartridges define what colour ribbon is fitted so the roland can identify the colour. The empty carts and labels are still available along with the refils. I used Printone here in the UK for the refills and mainly used these, Unless you have a specific purpose or can get hold of one of these PC-600s cheap I probably wouldn't waste my time as they are really old now and unsupported by Roland a long time ago. If thermal printing with spot colours (inc Metallics) is required a good Gerber FX system would be a better option. I run the FX along with the Envision plotter for spot colour printing only as my work is bespoke and specialised so a solvent printer isn't required.

hi which soft do you use for print and cut corel or illustrator? Does it print and cut direct from corel or illustrator or you need to export and open RIP Roland? Do you know if its possible to connect via usb to a mac or just paralel port to windows?

Print and cut direct from CorelDraw via the Roland printer driver which is only compatible up to windows XP. I also had it running via USB using a Belkin usb to parallel lead (Belkin F5U002VEA) but totally unsure if a mac version is available.

Can you cut more than one layer at a time? I am interested in buying this machine to cut out christmas ornaments. I use the baltic birch 1/8" wood. I am currently stack cutting 6 at a time with my RBI Hawk Scroll Saw. Are the edges nice and smooth or do you have to sand them?
