I really hate when people do this to games because when I started playing I really enjoyed Minecraft Legends, and to this day it’s still one of my favorite games but I can’t play it because jerks like YOU told everyone that the game was bad. You just don’t know how to appreciate games you like it’s not your job to crap on a game that a group of people believe is fun because now everyone left because they think the game is trash because of review videos like this. What a bum.

Totally agree. Dungeons is pretty good these days, and it sucks that there wasn't more done to it while it was active. But moreover, it sucks that the launch version was so much worse than it is now, that it sort of soured a lot of people's taste buds for the game's future development.

Sadly this game is underrated. Baby Diablo had so much potential, but Mojang kinda smothered it in its crib by just being a teensy bit stingy with mechanics and content, especially at launch.

*I mean, the option for multiplayer is always this way. Some people just like plying by themselves, but others don't. What're you going to do about it, force players to play with you when they might not want to?

god, this needs a sequel. maybe give it open multiplayer like some people here are saying but if we ever do get one we will need new enemies and possibly slightly enhanced combat

Which one do you recommend buying on PC: legends deluxe, dungeons deluxe or minecraft bedrock + java? The boy who wants it is 10 years old and likes basic Minecraft... he likes creating houses or castles with cubes, exploring the worlds, etc.

I dunno how many people that have said this but... The best-case scenario "last update" would have been a modding compatibility update, so the devs can extend the game's lifespan while metaphorically "Leaving the story to the players"

One thing you didn't look at was weekly and daily trials, which might only be available in apocolyps mode and the tower, which is a 30 floor tower with a boss fight every 10. the difference from normal levels is that the mobs get 1-2 levels higher every floor and the only way to get items is at the end of every floor, where you can choose from a mix of 5 weapons, armors, bows, and enchant points. Also your character and the weapons they have are completely different from you normal character. doesn't completely change the game but still a fun adition. also its free

Mc legends would be good if it was single player pvp, also dungeons is one of the best party games I have on my switch, anyone can pick up and play, so i'd call that a success

The game needs open coop so bad. And or arena multiplayer for people to fight in. Also, this game needs some serious balancing when it comes to enchanted mobs in the higher levels.

I noticed you mentioned that the game was procedurally generated, i wanted to point out that it actually isn't. instead each stage has i suppose "variants" where one stage may have anywhere from 3-5 ish different versions of it. i don't blame you for thinking this though as if you have only played under 10 hours then you most likely haven't repeated the stages enough to notice the patterns. its really only something you pick up on after dozens of hours grinding power lol.

I have all the DLC, and to be completely honest, the "final boss" just kinda jumps on you and you only get 2 very disjointed cutscenes after defeating him (which isn't very hard) making the end unsatisfying. But I still love the game, whenever I'm bored and have nothing else to do it's great just to pick up and play

Great video, i’ve returned to the game after a year and a half but the endgame time of the game can be quite fun but you have to be prepared to grind a bit

Love the video, but theres is a lot of replay ability like: after you beat a stage there will be new raid captains that have special modifiers for better loot. Would also like to say that after you beat the game you meet new enemies in levels and can gain a lot more items. And again also there is a tower you should try out.

As someone who finished the main campaign recently and started the dlc, I agree with most of your points except the cutscene one, because at the beginning of all of the levels there is a short cutscene that explains why you are doing what you are doing in the level, which in my opinion helps a lot with the world building, I don't know if you just skipped those or what because I'm 95 percent sure that those are just in the base game. Good video👍

My experience on the game was great and it was fun to play with my brother

This was actually a really great video on Dungeons. I used to play all the time with my buddy when it first came out, but it can feel very lonely at times without anyone to play with. It certainly needs polishing, but, I think that overall its still a great game.

If this video does well I'll finish the trilogy with Minecraft Story Mode. Edit: Before I get more comments on this, when I talk about how there’s a lack of cutscenes I’m specifically referring to animated cutscenes like in Legends, NOT the mini intros that are essentially loading screens for the stage. I 100%ed this game and gave every Lost Legend at least a shot. It sucked total ass. The Lost Legends were better than the base game, but even then I wouldn't have tried it if it wasn't half off. Only good thing about it was the cutscenes, which in the modern gaming landscape isn't really saying much. Controlling your troops is clunky and the gameplay of "blow up these 12 portals" gets repetitive real fast. 1:14 The story is weird, but not quite in the way of "alternate universe." It's supposed to be a children's story Villagers read to their kids on where the Ruined Portals and Illagers come from. It's set in the same universe as and is canon to baseline Minecraft, just a few 100 or 1,000s of years ago and with a bunch of details embellished or exaggerated. 1:44 Again, this game is in the past. It happens back when most of the Piglins hadn't been zombified yet. I'm even more old school in that I'm just happy the non-zombie Pigman mob finally got in the game in some form after like a decade of Notch and Dinnerbone saying they would never going through with it.

6:00 about this whole section where you talk about the resource management, how many resources are you using 😭 I didn’t have an issue with that at all. Also about that part where you talked about the game feeling like it has no sense of progression I can kinda understand and agree with. I think it’s really just a personal issue with you though and your managing your time right. I always just go for the bases 1 by 1 and take out the factions 1 by 1 and boom it’s easy.

I love Minecraft legends , I’ve never played anything like it. The cutscenes and the characters are so cool.

I'm a casual player who also played bloons and this game was quite fun when I played it, maybe just got gud? Mostly joking but I see why people don't like this game but I think its fun for what it is
