Aida, thanks for the comment. Yes the beach is swimmable. As for Sargasso typically the Sargasso is nor prevalent in this area due to Isla Mujeres Island. But the Sargasso is directed by the ocean currents and anything is possible anywhere.

I know, we wanted to show it !! But for the protection of the kids they dont allow us to film the kids club, however they have their own splash park and we were able to film it very quickly.

Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S

Steven very sorry for the delay. I am recovering from knee replacement surgery. Yes they have elevators and a person with knee issues can get around very easily.

Went through in March it was alot easier than i expected and alot better than our own airport in England. We were lead from our coach straight through the check in desk it was quick.Our cases were on the belt quick too. We did the entry online form at home for exit and entry both ways. In the airport We just got a sandwich and a coffee at the upstairs cafe in the airport whilst waiting for or flight home,it was no problem. Almost a 10 hour flight for us and i was impressed with Punta cana airport and of course the beautiful resort we stayed at,it was something else! Amazing country and the heat in March wow 🥵 boiling !

Dave sorry for the late reply. Yes we are familiar with them but, not really a fan of Barcelo Resorts. We have had to many customer issues with them to give them our support or recommendations.

@@2GetawayTravel Sorry to hear that about them. We have been there 11 times and recommended them to a bunch of people. All of them would not try any other resort but Barceló. One family just came back from the DR and stayed at the Barceló down there and loved it. The bad reviews I have seen on Trip Advisor are pretty silly and can’t believe what they are complaining about. But to each their own. I think you should give them a try

Thank you for the information, used to flight into cancun International and this march 28 will start having international flights, i will fly from chicago into Tulum on next week. saves up to 2 hours of trafic driving from Cancun to Tulum. i am sure Imigration and customs will be much faster too. saludos

Anyone else notice that NONE of the pools had handrails of any kind. Not very conducive to having us seniors come. Guess they are not interested in the demographic that presently has the most travel money.

Richard, thanks for the comment! I have never really paid attention to that but as I look back at other new resorts none of them have handrails. I guess since most of the new pools are beach access they feel they are not needed. Just guessing??

To answer your question, I guess no one else either noticed or they have the common sense that one can walk in just like at the beach. These new sleek resorts are not going to have the design aesthetic of the local YMCA pool. 😂
