Adam didn’t win because people that watched the show at that time were all of a different life.. they knew he was gay and they voted anyone else they could for bias reasons because they’re awful humans. Just to prove it, somewhere out there; there’s a 40 year old man named Kris Allen who went nowhere. Isn’t successful. And here goes the runner up. A multi millionaire.

I knew when I heard him sing Mad World he would become famous. So talented.

People knew he should have won. American Idol showed their truest colors and it wasn't complimentary colors. Shame on them.

I am 73 years old and think he is just brilliant - truly believe that he should have won but he has found success on his own - well deserved.

How the judges let him down I’ll never understand! They gave up some of their integrity that year. Hard to get it back!

Adam NOT winning American Idol was probably the best thing for his incredible talent. He would have had to record whatever drivel they gave their winners to record, and would have been stuck with their one year binding contract and appearances. Instead, the best thing that could have happened is he met Brian and the guys and has been headlining for Queen instead. I am happy for him that it was the latter! Love you Adam!

It actually worked out since he hooked up with Queen. I would not want to be in a contract with them.

When he lost I stopped watching American Idol. His amazing career since then is the ultimate win.

He got ripped off big time! Best artist, singer, performer to ever compete on idol. He was better than most famous artist! What more does one have to do to win? He far exceeded all other idols even to this day and there have been some AMAZING contestants. Nothing against Kris Allen, but he cant hold a candle to Adam. For some reason this season was so fixed!

Adam was just bigger than both Simon and American Idol.

To this day I still feel Adam not rightfully winning was such an injustice to him with not being allowed to claim the title he wanted and deserved but on the brighter side Damn has he had himself a great run in his career.
