I've been watching your videos since I was a teenager, so like 12 years ago! You've been such an inspiration to my whole art journey, I don't think I would have considered art journaling otherwise. I've watched your paper bead master class more than a dozen times, over the years. I'm so glad to see that you're posting regularly again! Here's to many more years of creation! 🥰

I recently let go of a lot of extra envelopes. So I'm thinking I'll fold a few of my own from decorated paper, and go from there. I'd want to keep access to at least one pocket usable to have as a secret hiding place for journaling/more private notes. I've always loved your videos Jennibellie!

It's been wonderful having you back, active on KZfaq. I discovered you through your greeting card journal videos years ago, because I was interested in reusing and actual Trashy Junk Journals as Rosemary Morris started calling them once the perfect scrapbook/digi junk journals hit the scene. Could be 9 or 10 years ago... But you are the one who got me back into art. It took me awhile before I joined you over at Journal Workshops. Congrats on 10 years!! Woo-hoo!! I have been missing over there since 2021. Like you my last years have been intense. Might just need to do the Minuteness class to get involved in the community and junk art journaling again. Thanks for all you share! 💖

Lovely journal idea!! Great idea if you are making travelling penpal journal! I never get why they only give one sheet of paper to an envelope in letter sets. The first page is the intro - Two lines saying hello, (because hello extends from a five letter word to a fifteen letter and then you say it in a multitude of ways because of all the coffee you have drunk), asking about the person, the many apologies for not writing sooner, (even if it was a two weeks ago), the weather, then moaning about the weather, (because when in England...),. That is the first page done, because you know, the weather! We must talk in great depth about that! Did the lack of papers stop me from buying letter sets? Nope! Oh, I do miss Paperchase! Love your vids! Go you for you weekly vids! Thumbs up given!

I haven't purchased much in the way of NEW (to me) supplies this year. My focus has been more on restocking depleted materials. That said, I have rediscovered some old favorites. First is Acrylic Inks. I am especially fond of Amsterdam (Royal Talens) and Daler-Rowney. But backordered colours led me to try the Vallejo line, and I love them so far. They have a high pigment load and very little colour shift. Second is Korns lithography crayons. I know it's only black, but hear me out. These small Conté Crayon like sticks range from Very Soft (#00) to Very Hard (#5), and besides being sensitive drawing tools, they can work as a resist for watermedia and gel plate printing. Third, Mitsubishi Polycolor coloured pencils. I haven't done much with this media since Spectracolor was discontinued about 25 yrs ago. These are softer and a little smoother than Prismacolor.

Hi Jennibellie when you use your composition book do you glue two pages together or no? Thanks
@jennibellie9 күн бұрын
Sometimes, sometimes not, it depends - if I'm heavily collaging on it then I don't think there's a need. There's no rules I just go with the flow each time I go to it 💖
@siobhanirish130710 күн бұрын
When you had ALL the made/scrap pages spread out on the desk, all I could think was: You could find a manufacturer and make all those pages into a paper pad. The papers are that fantastic! Before or after you did the stamping and scribbling on them, those colors and patterns are worthy of an entire paper pad.
