That last little bit about roots and moving around. I felt that. I've never been still my whole life. My father was like John and my mother was gone since I was 3 days old. It was rumored about my father ending people and I believe it 100%. He never got caught but I believe he encountered the same fate. Good for him! It was a small town cover up that I'm ok with. They can also turn on the empathy and charm when they are manipulating others in order to get what they want.
