I did this a bit differently I made it for my cat but smaller because I didn’t have that much yarn but this was very easy for a 12 year old

Mines bernnat pop bulky yarn I'm using circlar needles I've seen a tik tok man making these by hand and selling them like 180.00 per a blanket his definitely raking it I'm left handed just using my knitting circlae needles.

I'm just a perfectionist and I'm trying my best to get away from doing that, nowadays if I see a mistake, I figure out a way to fix it without unraveling. I learned this recently. The instructor showed us how to fuse the edges together with heat, it left a clean edge of yarn with no knot.

I have seen tutorials where not the TOP loop bit the Middle loop is used
