Credit should be given to the beautiful dancer in this excerpt. Joelle Nohealani Kalima of Hula Halau O Kou Lima Nani E (Hilo, Hawaiʻi). The main mele (music) she danced to in this hula ʻauana (modern style hula) performance was «Sanoe» (by Queen Liliʻuokalani), with her kaʻi (entrance) being to the mele «Kuʻu Ipo I Ka Heʻe Puʻe One» (by Princess Miriam Likelike).

The Pikake flower, known in their English name as Jasmine. Here the girls are adorned in pikake lei around their necks and in their hair. To put into perspective, this is the flower most used in weddings by the bride. It's aroma and beauty is the perfect accessory for the bride in her white wedding dress. It's a cherished flower because of it's fragility, it's beauty, it's fragrance, and it's elegance. To put it into perspective, it's widely sought after on most occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations and one strand of pikake will cost about $20. The girls have like 8 strands each which are double the length of a normal strand of lei. If you were near the stage this evening, you would have been overcome with the fragrance and perfume of the lei of all the pikake there as they passed by.

Bobby is a master performer. The seduction is in full throttle, the eyes looking upward, the smile that lures you into his vocal web. I fall in love with him every time I watch this - he is mesmerizing. To be singing with the Makaha sins is like perfection. Love,love this.

The Cazimero.bros always sang the best Christmas songs - Rolland sings my fave Hawaiian style carol - they were in their prime then. I miss them.

There's only 2 of them vocally and 2 instruments, and their voices are so unbelievably perfect it sounds like a whole orchestra playing, that's how beautiful their voices are

For fifty five plus years, I have loved your voices. 1967 at assemblies I remember you entertained us at Kamehameha, and your sister too. At UH you still said hi, and always a lovely wonderful person. Thank you Robert (we called you Bobbie back then), and Roland. Both so humble. I still remember you two in the "casually" worn ROTC uniforms. Always enjoyed being around.
