George Bernhardt and John Albani. … the BEST Lee Aaron lineup! Remember the days at Tony’s East seeing them in ‘82/‘83… Very tight seasoned band.

Out of his tree but still fabulous - not to mention not PC. Saw him at Sydney Stadium about 1959 and he was dynamic. Credit to the band for following him. Incredible tribute to Americana - he knew it all. ( Hank, Jolson etc ). This was some crazy gig. What was he on?

I saw jerry lee in 1987 at the Holiday star theater in Indiana. Only thing I really remember is Linda Gail singing lead on the first few songs and him taking forever to come on stage. He came dancing onto the stage while they were midway thru a song. This show is unique to say the least haha. I think it's pills going on here.

Hi Markus, do you have the video of the show ? I remember someone uploaded it years ago and I cant find it...
@markusr74213 ай бұрын
I did the recording. Of course I have it. It is not in good quality, very shaky, as I was standing in the middle of the crowd. I uploaded it years ago, but no one really cared. So I closed it and it will be closed forever. I worked my ass off and people watched it for 5 minutes - it is like showing card tricks to a dog... I am sorry.

IF only he would had played a grand piano.....
@markusr74214 ай бұрын
He always had sound problems with the acoustic ones, or they were not loud enough. Nearly on all of his former tours the piano was not real good to hear; specially in the early-mid 70s when he was using a bigger group of musicians. The electric Yamaha sounded more aggressive and definitely much louder, You are right, a acoustic grand sounded nicer...

Great videos, Markus Are you still in touch with Thomas? I'd like to get back in contact with him, but he's been hard to find. I probably last corresponded with him in early 2000s. Good guy.
@markusr74214 ай бұрын
I talked to Thomas about 10 years ago - found him due to his photography hobby. He still lives in Bad Oldesloe. He is not interested in chats about JLL. He sold all of his collection and stopped writing emails with me, after I kept on talking on this topic. So forget it. Yeah, a nice guy, though.

@@markusr7421 Thanks for the update, Markus. That's a shame on the change of heart, but glad he found a new interest. He did have a substantial collection of concerts - I was hoping to tap further into that catalog. Thanks for the videos you share, Vielen dank! Gute Wochenende to you

@@dckillerpiano Are you looking for special shows? Audio or Video? All of his collected stuff came from the source of P. Hayman, who did nearly all of the private audios from 1983 on. There are several dudes here on youtube who are issueing those shows, often without any credits given. "JerryLeeTV" is one of the channels. "Paul Gaston" or "JerryLeeLewis Archive" are also issueing such stuff.
