That song was the first time my father actually got interested into any kind of video game stuff. Since we had an age difference of about 40 years our values differentiated all over the place as well. He asked me multiple times to finish the game again just to hear that tune xD

i think i cried when i heard this for the first time with Will telling Kara that even if it takes a thousand years that he will find her. and i'm still always tearing up a bit whenever i hear it.

I like that it hits really hard at first to give the player that shock, but then cools down for a while to let you play the game, making good use of repetition to extend that until it repeats over. Really well designed song, my favorite of Illusion of Gaia and top 50 SNES songs for sure.

Underrated game

This level was so fun. I loved the terracotta army soldiers in the basement. This game litterslly jump started my interest in history, geography, and archeology. One of the best Snes Titles ever.

Good soundtrack so intermediateing of a first dongen

So many dungeons to think of, but impossible to not associate the song with the giant vine area because of how creepy it went with this music

The best part of this boss is that your ranged attacks go with the beat.

Always been one of my favorite rpgs

Illusion of Gaia is a rarity in its genre... a story about coming of age and learning that civilization has come nowhere near maturity. Slavery, genocide, the abuse of power, people who would hire an assassin to kill children, desperate people reduced to desperate measures... it has really stuck with me, especially this melancholic song.
