single port wastegates have an air bleed hole on the back side, so wastgate diaphragm can travel. if that hole wasn’t there, then the diaphragm would have to compress the air present inside the actuator body as it travels. the hole allows air on the spring side of the diaphragm to move in and out of the actuator as the diaphragm travels. on a 2 port actuator, if your not using the secondary port, it should be left open, not plugged.

Super helpful video! Thank you!!! I had a part break on my Samsung washing machine, and I replaced everything, but the machine wouldn't enter the spin cycle. It was doing really similar stuff to your machine, so I tried to replace the rotor position sensor and it fixed the issue! Seeing your machine behave the same way helped me to diagnose the problem. It was a cheap and easy fix. Thanks for the help!

That is a Harbor Freight Drummond 1/4 Horsepower pump. Works well. CLR or Pure white vinegar can be used also. Will take a little longer. Afterwards flush thoroughly with clean water and use a little 50/50 antifreeze to remove all water from heater core. You saved $800 to $1000 to replace a heater core.

Using a steel shaft seems like a good way to loosen the bearing housing as long as the aluminum upright doesn't get bent. The walls are a bit thin on the sides.

It's plenty tough for this job.
@joevarga5982
@joevarga5982 11 ай бұрын
@@ArcolaBridge Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe the bearing housing falls right out after this because you've stretched the hole in the upright, lol. The thin areas on the side of the upright are reinforced by the steel bearing housing while it's bolted in place. The upright loses a lot of strength as soon as that steel bearing housing is unbolted. Just sayin'.

Thank you for your video - the assembly sensor was my problem - got the spare part on Amazon and had it fitted and back working in 20 minutes - note removing the bolt (17 mm) can be tricky but recommend using a ratchet and tap wrench with a hammer while holding the assembly and it releases

I have never known adjustable brass jets, they are usually tight so gas does not leak from around and out of the threaded part, some cookers are design for LPG and incoming house supply line gas, You need to change the jets for LPG but also i think that may not be the only thing that has to be adjusted, From what i can make out turning the jet left you are allowing gas to escape around the threaded part witch could be dangerous.

I think 2 to 4 turns on this old wm2301hr is perfect. 6 turns is too much. Modern machines like the wm9500hka cannot handle more than 2 turns of the pressure sensor screw, it will struggle and fail because the Motors are not as powerful because of the highly efficient DC frequency drive in them. No need to adjust modern machines pressure sensor. Just remember to use no more than 2 tablespoons of soap and enough extra rinses needed. I use one tablespoon of powder soap either persil or tide and one tablespoon of liquid either persil or tide.

Dose more water affect the wash program times?.
@ArcolaBridge
@ArcolaBridge Жыл бұрын
This is a wm2301hr from 2009. The motor is more powerful than the manufacture them today. Because the motor is more powerful it can handle a lot of water. You would not be able to add as much water to a modern machine as you can with this old one. I have the LG WM 9500hka which is the largest washing machine you can buy before you buy some big commercial expensive machine. On that machine you cannot add more than one or two turns or the machine will struggle. Especially struggle on betting cycle because it adds more water and yes rinse cycle when it adds more water. When you change the water level it affects every program all the time. So you have to be careful. If you have a modern machine you should be very careful and maybe consider not adjusting this because on the new ones they put difficult red Loctite and so I recommend buying one off the internet and carefully using isopropyl alcohol and a big flat head screwdriver to slowly exercise the screw so that you're able to turn it. The point is to dissolve the red Loctite before you try to turn it by flexing it and turning it while adding isopropyl alcohol to melt the Loctite holding it in position. I have found that for me I keep the water level where the manufacturer has it set for my new machine the WM 9500hka. But for this old machine you can add extra water and it won't affect the performance of the machine and will even improve the wash performance as long as you don't add too much water. Too much water will prevent the clothes from actually rising and falling and they will just begin to roll and you don't want that.
@ArcolaBridge
@ArcolaBridge Жыл бұрын
Yes more water can affect the wash times but not by much. It takes a little longer to pump the water out and a little longer to fill. If you have a modern machine it will affect the wash time in that your machine will struggle to complete a cycle so you have to watch very carefully and if you have a modern machine I would almost say it's not necessary at least it's not on my WM 9500 hka. I don't know about other models or other manufacturers.

I don't but little did I know at the time this machine was from 2009 and so the warranty was already up on it and the sensor did fix it like I said the part number at the end of the video 2002a I believe is what I said. So this machine is a wm2301hr from 2009 and it is now 2023 and it still runs like a beast. I got the part on Amazon you're just going to have to find out what part your model number needs and find it on Amazon or wherever you want to get your part. Should be easy to do with a bit of googling.
