Thanks for sharing the great information and tips on journaling. Well done! I'm not one who journals in written form. I do make some quiet time to reflect. I reflect on the past, the present, and picture things in the future. My mind is my book l suppose. I guess one benefit of doing it this way is helps maintain cognitive function. I'm having to constantly recall things. I'm 100% sure your husband is looking down at you from heaven and is really proud of you and what you are doing with your life. Have a wonderful day 😊

Yassss!!! I have some organic chickpeas and sweet potatoes - this sound and look sooooooo good, I am going to try this dish this evening. Thank you Nan for keeping us on a healthy path of life. I have one more medication I am trying by to get off my record and its looking good. My body feels so good at 61 eliminating 98% of salt(I use a pinch of Celtic salt sometimes), took oils and sugar out of my diet. Yes, batch cooking is definitely KEY!

All 4 said the best protein is from animal foods. What have you accomplished for humanity?

Dear Nan. The topic you brought up today is significant for the mind and general health, it releases tensions and emotions. It is "I am with myself" psychological therapy. I tried to convince friends who are currently going through difficult experiences with the situation in Israel to write their feelings. But I did not succeed. I try to convince them to find an interesting and creative daily occupation. Let's hope I succeed. H ave a nice day.❤🌻

By the way. Do not pour the cooking water of the chickpeas, the water is full of protein. There are many recipes for using them. For example, I add it to soups about 1/3 of the amount of water.

Dear Nan. To your question, how and when did I start a healthy diet? Three and a half years ago my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer. After the successful operation, he decided not to undergo chemotherapy. He is a sportsman, sailing, very active full of positive energies without any previous background diseases. That's how suddenly in one day everything changed. And in conversations with oncology professors on the subject, he decided not to undergo chemotherapy treatment. We found on the Internet Dr. William Li's lectures on how to fight and defeat cancer. We bought his book: Eat to Beat Disease. He changed the whole picture for us about the need for a healthy diet. It's been three and a half years that my husband has been followed up every six months and the results of his blood tests and PET CT are excellent. The professor at the hospital where my husband is being monitored didn't ask us what we were doing about it, but he probably understood that I am the one who follows a healthy diet. No sugar and no flour. He even wrote in the reports after a meeting: "His wife is watching over him." We will continue with a healthy diet, it improves everything. Shabbat Shalom.❤🌻

Mine was wet and dense. I measure by grams. I checked oven temp. I cooked it so long and it was still wet. Flavor was great. I used a silicone pan. I am not sure WHY it did not come out dry like bread/cake???
@NanSimonsen
@NanSimonsen 3 күн бұрын
Hi Susan, thank you for sharing, I’m so sorry that it didn’t turn out right. I misspoke in the video when I called it lite and airy. In the description of the video I corrected that, and described it as dense and moist. It certainly shouldn’t be wet though. I can’t speculate as to why. I have found that when I cook muffins in silicone, they are more moist than when I cook them in metal, which I did my banana bread, but I don’t think that would make such a difference. I’m going to play around with it again and possibly amend the recipe, I certainly don’t want people to be disappointed. Thank you for letting me know!🌻🥰🌻

Dear Nan. It is so difficult to convince the audience (even close friends) to change a hedonistic lifestyle like cafes and restaurants without explaining to them about industrialized food that is full of unhealthy ingredients such as sugar, gluten, fat, and sugar. If only they would understand that food is the medicine for disease prevention and even cure. I see around where I live how families with children sit and eat for lunch or just during the day a tray of pizza, chips, and coke. Not to mention the hamburgers. You do a great job of flooding the subject from many directions, especially your personal story. Continue with the positive energies in you. All the best❤🌻

Hi Nan. Dr. McDougall was one of the influencers on healthy nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. I watched some of his interviews. I read about his passing. His sentence: "Good health is the food you eat" is acceptable to me. It must be admitted that pharmaceutical companies do not encourage doctors to recommend healthy food for disease prevention or even healing. Today I happened to talk with my husband at lunch about the fact that no family doctor recommended a change in diet for the quality of health. I did this out of self-learning, and I was very successful. Keep giving us guidance on a better future for health. Thanks❤🌻
