That was a cover of 'Matty Groves', a traditional song best known for it's arrangement by Fairport Convention (1969 Liege & Lief album).

Saw Neil in Toronto on May 20. He didn't play this, but when the Pixies played the same venue on June 8 this was their closing song.

This song made me cry in a good way. When I was a child I’d listen to Neil Young’s version imaging writing all my friends a long, heartfelt message. Some of the people who matter most have passed, but this song will always hold a special place in my heart. Kassi just brought back all those childhood memories with that voice and song choice…cheers to great talent.

What a great performance! Neil is so cool. Doesn't barge in and take over. Just lays down some of his amazing patented simple great guitar work in support. This is what music is all about right here. Wish the video was better, but the sound is awesome! Beautifully done!

I heard about this sort of thing a while ago, but honestly, I never thought it was real. I thought these charity concerts were just rumours. Goes to show the true quality of Mr's Jones. But this. Not only do you have a surprise guest whose song your covering, but a spot of musical microphone which is essentially Young saying to Norah "No, you got to finish the vocal, Norah, cause your owning it" Which goes to show the quality of that legend.

Yeah its more than real Neil and his wife helped to start this school to provide childeren with disabilities opportunities to learn and develope life skills. Pretty awesome.

@@DanGBow1 He appears to be a really cool guy, Dan. I regret at this point not knowing his music better. I only know of a few of his songs and most of that is through Jones unique musical perspective. To me, she's a bit like a window into many worlds that otherwise I may never have been "privy" to. Some day, and I hope that day is soon, I will need to "step through" that window while also keeping that window very much in sight [because I do love it so] so that I can better experience some of those worlds. Neil Young, is very much one OF those worlds.
