The majority of people Democrats, Republicans, liberals, straight, gay, young, old, white, black, and Hispanics like myself we all have something in common; and is that we loveee Pete Buttigieg. He should be the VP for 2024. He won't bring one single state, He will just bring the majority of people from each states, because homophobes and racist are the minority.

My father was an alcoholic all the way until I graduated high school and never bought me and my 3 siblings clothes nor school supplies;ies. My mother worked 2 jobs to buy us what we needed but on some days I didn't have money for lunch in high school and it was difficult for me to sit there and watch other kids eat while being hungry. It was hard enough to concentrate when all I could think of was going home to my father being drunk and yelling at me for no reason. I didn't qualify for 'lunch tickets' because they said my mom and dad made enough money combined. What they didn't know was that my father spent 75% of his paycheck every 2 weeks on drinking. Now I do remember feeling ashamed and hurt when I didn't have any lunch and all the other kids ate around me. It was one of the worst feelings in the world. Especially, since I was already really shy and emberrassed in general.

Although these kinds of acts of kindness touch the heart of people, community outreach, counseling and assisting people with personal problems is NOT the job or duty of a law enforcement officer. In fact, this should strictly be done in the private sector and certainly not a Constitutional use of tax cattle funding

At my middle school in Florida they would take your lunch away then give you a cheese sandwich. Just two slices of cheese on thin bread and they’d give you one milk carton

It is disgusting that in these rich countries, people have to pay for their children’s lunches a the school! Government should pay for the lunches, no the parents. Wow! How shameless and cruel are these people! This world is getting more and more cold towards other human beings, particularly to children. Makes me want to 🤮

We have a country with the most abundant food supply in the entire world. No child should go without their lunch! Even if a lunch debt needs to be settled, it needs to be settled between parents and the school not between a child in the school. Oh my goodness this just made me cry. I always packed for my kids when they were little when they got to be in middle school and high school they didn’t want me to pack because they thought it wasn’t cool but I always make sure they had money on their accounts no matter what sacrifice had to be made but at least I had the money to give them for lunches I know some families don’t even have that and it’s ridiculous. There’s money for so many programs that are unnecessary in this country and there’s 1 million ways that we could cut budgets without even raising taxes and still cover lunches for all the students.

This reminds me of the movie anchor man Random thoughts are just random sometimes. But reminded me of the part in the movie when they are giving the news over the crack epidemic of the 80s an they decided to see what all the hype was about on live tv 😂 I can imagine this guy, being offered some crack and him saying. Hmm I guess I can see what all the hype is about sure, pass me the slobbered up pipe earl.😂

45 years ago in kindergarten, I forgot my lunch money one day and was denied lunch. Instead of the cafeteria staff sending a note home to my parents, I was denied lunch. This was 45 years ago. This isn’t new news, this has been going on since school lunch began. I think in my humble opinion- EVERY CHILD DESERVES TO EAT regardless of “money”.. there’s always going to be parents that forget, are too broke to send it in, etc but why take that out in a child? I can remember this because it was so embarrassing for me and the fact that NOT a single school staff member cared to pay like 50 cents back then to help a child for one day. Please don’t scar our children or deny them basic life support because of their parents forgetting or being too broke to send it. That school lunch may be the only food that child gets for the ENTIRE DAY!

When I was younger, there was one time I had tucked my lunch money into the waistband of my skirt because I had no pockets (and I was in like 6th grade 😄 ) Well anyway, I ended up losing it, of course, but I didn't realize it until my tray was made and I went to pay. They literally took my tray from me, THREW OUT ALL the food in it IN FRONT OF ME and EVERYONE. Made me go back thru the line and get a "cold tray" which included a peanut butter sandwich, some pears or something, and a bag of milk I think. I did NOT like peanut butter that much and pears aren't my favorite fruit either. Nevertheless, I ate the pears and tried gagging down the peanut butter sandwich but it was too much! It was so dry my throat felt like it was sticking to itself! 😆 I went to throw it away and they wouldn't let me. They made me sit there, even after my class had left and went to recess, and i was forced to FINISH eating what was in the tray. I literally was sobbing by the time I finally finished it and was allowed to go back to class! It was horrible!!! I'm 40yrs old and I still remember it to this day like it was yesterday! Trauma comes in many forms and lasts a lifetime! I'll tell you what, I never went thru that line again it I didn't have my money. I would rather go hungry than be humiliated and tortured over a cpl bucks school lunch!

This may not have been someone’s lunch being taken away, but I remember when I was in first or second grade, I saw another student I didn’t know take a fried chicken, black with dirt from the ground (it was an outdoor cafeteria), and eat it. I didn’t really think anything of it at the time; only looking back after growing up I realize that boy was probably not getting the food he needed and deserved day to day.

This sounds like child abuse. Seriously. Imagine if a parent gave their child lunch and then took it away and let them go hungry? That's abusive.

I've been struggling with bigoted violent intrusive thoughts lately. I know that these intrusive thoughts DOESN'T reflect me and/or my moral values because I would NEVER do anything hateful, and I know that all people are born equal, and should be treated with equity, respect, kindness, love, empathy and compassion. Can this trick help keep the intrusive thoughts at bay? Just being curious.
