I love these guys and hate to say it but their voices sound TERRIBLE on this song!! Like they all have laryngitis and they are actually off-key.

My mum loved this song we used to listen to it together. This was in 1988 she died of cancer aged 42 in Oct 89. We all take different meanings from songs I know in my heart she wanted to escape and this song epitomises it. Anna my mum will always live in our hearts I can see it in my children. Thanks Tracey ❤

Like this if you were here long before all the “country” bandwagoners (Country is my favorite genre btw, I just respect the original way more, I’ve probably listened to this exact video more than a thousand times over the past 6 or so years)

I was there... Oakland 1988 Was pregnant with my daughter... You can see she's upset at the end... The deadheads were yelling get off the stage and booing her "Bring on the dead" they said below her Many of us got up and walked out after her show Deadheads bite dirt... At least those yelling at her what jerks You can see I'm still upset about it Tracy Chapman Man got me through the '90s Beautiful spirit Sending you love and light

Why are you listening to this song you're driving up Pontiac GTO or a Cadillac or a Lincoln this is America
@Dra741
@Dra741 4 күн бұрын
As a teenager growing up and I heard America it is exactly what the name says America and I don't normally tell what color I am because of all the BS they put out there but as I'm growing up as a kid I'm listening to every music in the world and this is a song that is so inspirational it really represents America we have something special if we utilize it properly
