Yeah at the time i Felt the same way as you even more because kise is one of the few people in knb that is really nice to everyone. But i also saw a comment that Said that in the manga aomine Said something like he didn't want kise to feel like he was taking pity on him or something like that, since he is the Winner on the opposite team. But yeah this is scene is so hard to watch till this day

This match was the best one in the whole of KNB. The aftermath was also the most emotional, in my opinion. Seeing the light and shadow of Shutoku crying, one a guy that rarely smiles never the less cries and the other guy that hasn’t cried one in the whole series until now, made me want to throw the ultimate Aomine punch 🤜. Both tried so hard in the match… 😭😭😭

In the book, this scene has more chemistry and laughter in it. Bcs natasha was the one that find it funny first, she described it in the book. And Daniel was laughing bcs natasha was also laughing, he has this thing when people shows emotion, Daniel will copy it. So if someone cried, he also cried for no god damn reason. So it counts as a funny scene, bcs it is. The book never lies.
