Summerboard has definitely improved. My wife will tell you that I've gotten my moneys worth. 1st day snowboarding December 15, 2022. I'm a certified level 6 intermediate as of this year. Thank you Summerboard, btw I live in Texas….

I- yeah, it’s almost like warranties market to people who tend to be clumsy and the Summerboard requires such delicate balance and a will to learn it that a warranty isn’t needed because they’ll know you’ll take care of it or something

@firefoxtf2998 not sure how you got that idea when rhe paid sponsor doing advertisements neglects the board, runs them in water etc. Also that's not a justification for having a warranty that isn't honored after the packaging is opened.

OK aaron.. only complaint I have on here.. Electronic braking is so much safer on Esk8 boards nowadays!!! and you can change how it brakes, or know how it brakes!!... I have found that SB board haven't had any new updates to make braking safer?... Why not?

Electronic braking shouldn't be on this board IMO - it's never a better solution than sliding. Everyone I ride with turns the e brake to zero

@@AaronAders Ever considered Moon drives or a planetary gear, or even a chain belt instead of standard rubber timing belts? Would probably save on wear and belts breaking

I got one off Facebook marketplace for good deal in really good condition but still regret my purchase it’s really hard to ride I’ve never snowboarded tho am a pretty avid surfer n skater but learning this thing is hard like frustratingly hard it’s like learning to ride a bike again is best way I can describe I still can’t really make a 90 degree turn either I do a 180 and start riding switch in a straight like till handing to bail cause running outa road because can’t turn the damn thing or full 360s (only on first week have ridden three times for 30 minute seshs at tennis court by my house) I’m like 99% sure there’s nothing mechanically wrong ,the deck doesn’t even have a scratch on it showing me it was hardly used but being that I got it second hand can’t be sure and the website the board is sold on says nothing about repairs (unless under two year warranty which don’t think water damage is even on ) only troubleshooting page for advice on how you should fix it wish I couldn’t released this before buying could’ve been worse and payed full sticker I did want it for like 3 years and kept going back to the website every few months if have 1500 you really don’t care about then all means do what you want with your money but if I can save someone the regret

Can you add videos on how to go from riding centres to carving/sliding? When I see videos of people really good at SB, they hardly use the edges and just slide out the back of the board, back and forth from side to side.

yes as you complete the training videos you will learn first center riding, then carving/sliding. The center riding is critical first because you learn the balance. Then everything else comes easy after that. If you've ever snowboarded, then just pretend there is snow on the ground and do exactly that haha it works

The Summerboard app on the Google Play Store is outdated. It wont let you download it there, but if you lookup the apk file you can still install it. It appears to works fine as of Android 13. Happy shredding!

so after learning with the foamies as recommended, i tried the included foot holders and i hated them i can say im sticking to the foamies having the freedom of being able to bailout forward or backwards is priceless for me. I actually almost fell with the included footholders when i have not ever been even close with the foamies. foamies rock!!

nice! the foamies are great for chill runs. Once you get more acclimated to the board, you're gonna love the foot holds. You can easily bail out of them if you practice a few times. I've seen riders bail on rails and backflips - so it definitely can be done! but you have to get a bit more experience for sure

no - doing 360s while moving is crazy easy. This drill is more for practicing the mastery of balance. I have only seen one rider ever do a smooth flat spin 360! it is a great challenge

How are there no videos of people carving this thing or carving a pool? Its built for carving. So why try to keep trying skateboard tricks? This needs to be entirely redefined and focused on old school late 70s and early 80s skating.

I'm gunna start with a question and end with a story.. not gonna lie I'm kinda bored, it's raining and I'm not real sure what else to do but type on a random KZfaq video.. so here goes.Assuming you can already ride switch on a snowboard to a point where a lot of times you don't even remember which is regular and which is switch for you. And descent to the point that you can do a few turns wakeboarding switch before you have to pop back and can even drop on a wave or 2 switch and skim board backwards if you have to.. for this person as our example...Where would that person start with learning to ride this thing switch? Because it's close as you can get to snowboarding outside or wake or surf but it's still like a weird hybrid of all the board sports I've ever done while at the same time not quite exactly like any of them. Oh yea, and falls and even bails for the most part are a no go cause I refuse to do anything in shoes that are more constricting than flops and you're pressed to get me in those... please help.. I just found my summerboard for the first time since February last time I rode it not great.. this time 2 days in and I'm cruising like 8-12 miles non stop, Ollie's, nollies, spins, I guess you could call them presses kinda but I'm not gonna lie they start out ugly and only get worse the longer I rode cause that board ain't no 8lb snowboard and I'm about 18 years more broken than I was last time I did any for real snow riding lol smh.. definitely fun though. I'm trying to figure out what my goals should be for the end of the weekend. Cause one hand I'm tired of carving turns so close to the feeling of snow that for a second I forget it's this heavy ass board thing and I get so close to launching a nollie 5 off whatever little bump I can find or buttering into a back 270 to ride switch for a while then bam I look down and think what is this black isht why is there no spray leaving my board and where is my pants. And then bam just like that I'm slapped back to reality where I'm in Florida it's 90 degrees I'm in shorts and I barely ever even rode this thing and if I do any of that stuff I just talked about Ill probably be living in a tent soon with the bugs bc I won't be able to work so what comes next is a horrible anxiety and depression the entire ride home. And the moral of the story. I need to get better at this quick so my brain will stfu and I can do all the fun stuff again instead of just some of it. Thanks for reading my shit story I'm going to figure this thing out in the garage if I have to 🫡
