What a fun video! I made a bunch of fun features at schabarum canyon/ powder canyon at the switchbacks in hacienda heights. I did some fun steep rollers and cleaned up the fast chutes that cuts thru the switchbacks. Its my on mini santiago oaks, i call it powder oaks. By far, not as good as The Oaks, but i have so much fun. The features that i made helps me ride santiago oaks with more confident. ✌👊

@@c.1211 Thank you!🙏🏼 Oh nice! I live right by Schabarum but I’ve never ridden there. Do you have Strava or can you send me the location to where you have added those features? I’d like to check them out !
@c.121112 күн бұрын
I dont have Strava, but the trail is at schabarum regional park, parking is free from Monday-Friday. I always park by the horse stables, easy to find. Today I finished another feature with a steep roller. I might test it out tomorrow Friday. On the weekends I park on Temoch street on the other side of the park, which by the way I did another cool trail through the woods, super fun! Hopefully by September I purchase yt decoy 3 e bike. The decoy will allow me to really enjoy the whole mountain. I was trying to pin the location, but Im having a hard time doing it, sorry about that. Just to let you know, its not close to Santiago Oaks, but I will add new features through out the mountain and make it "Our Oaks". We need cool trails on this side if town for local bikers😃👊. Check it out.

Great video... been here once... April 3, 2024... brought my new Ozark Trail 'Vibe' (black) on these trails... straight outta Walmart (with some fine tuning). It was a long ride from where I parked my car on Scenic View Drive. Not going back without replacing the plastic pedals with some much stronger metal ones... and bringing a bigger water bottle next time... sometime in April 2024.

Thanks for the video. Did you end up getting new brakes? As a fellow SoCal rider, I’ll recommend Hayes Dominion A4s for some of the gnarly descents we’ve got out here. I’m a big dude, so in addition to lever feel and modulation, stopping power is important to me. The Hayes are pricey but are easily the best brakes I’ve ever used. I’m running a 203mm rotor in the back with a giant 220mm out front. Cheers.
@Oscar_Hdz4 ай бұрын
Appreciate it bro! I ended up with TRP DHR-EVO’s 203 front and rear. I was debating on getting the Hayes but chose the TRP’s. I’ve enjoyed them so far! Great consistency all day. I’ll definitely run Hayes on my next bike 🤘🏼
