Omg I'm less than one minute in and have already learned such a valuable trick! SCRUNCHING THE PARCHMENT?!?!?! GENIUS! So annoyed I didn't think of that! I have only done 2 bakes (4 loaves) so far and the parchment leaving grooves on my loaves has been bothering me, I'm SO using this trick form now on! Can't wait for the rest of this vid :) Thank you!!

Could I use plastic bag instead of cheese cloth?
@SammyWongsKitchenАй бұрын
Bad idea! The plastic bags prevents the moisture from escaping which will result in mold. It is important to have air circulation around the roast to prevent the meat from spoiling. Hope this helps.

I really enjoyed your video. I think it's the first one which demonstrated the bean curd wrapping from prepping filling the sheet. I had huge problems with the dried sheets with re-hydration which you mentioned in the video. I noticed some folks will fry the fill bean curd roll before braising in the liquid. On a personal note, I remember the first time I ate one of these treats. I loved how the flavor exploded in my mouth as I bit off the end. Flavor and crunch, it was a combination made in heaven. Here in Boston I found only one dim sum restaurant which served this dish. Since covid I've missed this flavor and crunch. I think with your video and others I am ready for a home attempt. Thanks!

Why not dump the loaf on a piece of parchment paper ,score, then lower it into the cast iron pot on the parchment paper .Also The parchment paper allows you to lift the loaf out of the cast iron pan when finished baking.Just a helpful hint from someone who has learned from experiences (good and bad bread experience)😊

In a scenario where I don't have cornstarch in my pantry, what can I use as a substitute?
@SammyWongsKitchen5 ай бұрын
If you don’t have cornstarch, you can use other types of starches such as tapioca or potato starch. In a pinch, you can use flour. The consistency will be a little different, but it will still thicken. Hope that helps!

It is true! It explodes! I cooked last night according to the instructions in the etiquette which said to boil the whole squash for 20 minutes in salted water....the skin broke while the water was boiling and made a loud noise. Luckily no consequences. Now i am here to see what to do with the cooked spaghetti squash. Really liked your video....off to the kitchen now

Just a note to warn all NOT to boil the squash. You get a mushy and wet mess of 'spaguetti'. Next time i will definetly BAKE

@@kelrogers8480 Well, I oppose the killing of sentient beings, so I am against abortion of sentient beings. I invite you to see me not as someone who judges you, but helps you live in accordance with your moral values. How can you be so thoughtful to be protective of barely sentient fetuses while paying for the killing of very sentient chicken? Please dont take offense, I dont judge, did it myself. Just think about how crazy lightheaded we sent sentient beings capable of suffering through the process of slaughter just for pleasure, tradition and convenience. Thanks for your reply

@@vegansinnigeunterhaltung people in comas or in hospital are often not sentient. Sometimes for long periods. Months even. So you'd kill them? You don't think too hard, do you?
@vegansinnigeunterhaltung6 ай бұрын
@@kelrogers8480 I agree that killing coma patients is wrong! Nowhere did I say that I would kill non-sentient beings like coma patients. I promote not killing sentient beings but that does not imply nor suggest in any way that killing coma patients is right, that's because they might wake up one day, and also you didn't need to make such an extreme example to make your point, it could be argued that people who are deeply sleeping are not very sentient. By ending with an insult, I suspect, that no reply I give, might actually lead to a constructive dialouge, so I answer for the other readers and also to aid the algorithm to rank the video higher, so the creator has something out of our discussion. Please be nice, stuff you write in a text area on the internet might actually hurt others. Why make the world worse?
@kelrogers84806 ай бұрын
@@vegansinnigeunterhaltung I have no idea what you're going on about. Sounds like you are pro abortion. The unborn are not sentient at conception yet they will be in a few weeks or months. Just as coma patients will likely be sentient in a few weeks or months. I'm done with this convo. It's ridiculous. Cheers.
