I am curious about the set-up procedure on my cruise ship, specifically regarding any of my devices using a VPN. Do I need to turn the VPN off during the initial set-up of the device? And, if so, will everything work with the VPN activated again, once the connection is made?

Very bad bufferfloat can be seen with the increased latency when downloading at the end of the video in the last example. This will provide horrible user experience. Strongly consider adding the possibility of using queues with queue types, such as fq_codel, cake, pcq etc. Additionally, with such hardware and costs, we should be able to specify a minimum bandwidth utilization for each network/ip-range & source/destination which should be met under congestion -- and then share the remaining available bandwidth once each rule has met the minimum bandwidth requirement. This ensures full usage of the available bandwidth by allowing each "tenant" to split the bandwidth equally under congestion. When 3 tenants are using the 1gbps then each tenant should get an equal share of 333 Mbit each. When only 2 tenant use the 1gbps, then each should get 500Mbit each, fair and square. At this time, tp-link offers very poor support for this, and I would not recommend this brand currently until such functionality is made available.

Please advise, I have a Tapo C500 Security Camera. Sometimes the person detection dosen't work when someone is passing from the marked zone. Also I have installed the camera on front of the house and wanted to cover front porch and a part of the road where I have parked my car. The problem is that the camera can cover either road or my front porch, so if I keep the camera view on the road and mark the front porch with turning on motion detection then would it be possible for the camera to move from road angle to porch angle and then go back to the same position??

Anyone Please Help. I bought 3 Tapo C520WS cameras as I saw a lot of people recommending them. They have really good reviews and I do think they are also very feature rich which makes security around the house very nice. After unboxing the 3 cameras I spent the afternoon testing them all and found no issues with any of them so I got to work installing them around the house. I also made sure the WiFi signal was strong enough using the Tapo App to test WiFi strength and they are all within perfect range. One of them being no less than 5 meters away from the router only being separated by a windowpane. Only after leaving the house the following day did I discover a massive issue that I can't seem to fix. When I disconnect from the WiFi ( same network as what the cameras are on ) I cannot view the camera feed at all. The live video feed is completely unresponsive. Even the time display stamp doesn't progress. It’s just completely stuck. If I press any buttons in the app (e.g. the move buttons) the camera still responds and does what I input, but it doesn't update the video feed on my phone. So if I rotate the camera. It will rotate, but it will not update the feed. I’ll still be staring at a frozen image. I’ve left it for more than 5 minutes and it just doesn't update at all. Even standing right next to the camera. Possible solutions I've tried includes - Reinstalling and updating the app - Updating the firmware on the cameras - Changed the image quality to 720p and the fps to 15 thinking that my mobile network might just be too slow - Used multiple devices - Changed the Display settings to Compatible Mode The camera is 100% useless if I am not on the same network which defeats the purpose of a security camera when you are not home. Does anyone know how to fix this or have any solutions for me as I do not want to return them. I really like them a lot and I love the features. I’ve also already drilled holes in my wall as I thought I've tested everything thoroughly, but clearly I missed one vital test. Any and all responses are highly appreciated.
