Alright naaa this is bad. I know yall aren’t mixing but you and Mike need to learn and use a controller! Or at the least, DMX. Giving these kids seizures and it’s all just clashing. I like you guys but it’s time to stop being nice and allowing it. Like I watch this video and I’m thinking “is this what the client wanted?” Like people are happy with your performance at gigs? Do they just not know what a DJ is out there? Are there any like actual high-end DJ companies? Or is it just so isolated and low income out there? I’d like to discuss all this on the round table

Rain or not you should get paid & besides it's not your fault if nobody showed up, that's on their side for not doing a good job on promoting the event.

Their prices are always changing, so it's just depends what time frame. You look at the product and order it. It could be cheap. It could be more expensive. There are anywhere between $300. All the way up to $800 is the highest I've seen him go.

These speakers have really bad sensitivity, you will have to push them hard to have decent output. You can literally order these boxes with any speaker of your choice which shows you there is no way the whole thing is well tuned.

Why would you ever put your main sound behind the performers? Thats what your monitors are for. I've watched some of your videos. And im not trying to sound like an ass. But you definitely have a lot to learn as far as set-up, emceeing, and even explaining what you're doing. You never put lights below someones head. Nor the speakers. You want them both above their heads...Especially speakers. You don't want sound at ear level. Plus the sound travels further if its up higher. The only thing that looks professional is your intro video. Your lighting set-up has no rhythm or reason. It just looks like you turn them on and they do their own thing. But i wish you well!

i couldn't get the lights up higher the building wasn't that tall i didn't run sound my buddy did so that was his idea no mine and this was also a free be gig just to help this church out the ppl at the church was complaining that the count hear so dj mike James said he would run his sound in the back along with the speakers in front

I would stress that when you have that many lights pointing AT the dancefloor, to program or point the lights up at the ceiling. No one likes to have bright lights pointed straight at their face for most of the event. Also, I understand the desire to show off what you have, but for that size room, the movers were a bit overkill when you had the lights up top and the vertical bars. Other than that, great log and thanks for sharing. Maybe next time, put yourself in a guests shoes and see what they see and gauge what you brought from their POV. Others have mentioned cable mgmt so I won't.
@DJFIRE20204 ай бұрын
The only reason why I had those movers there was to demonstrate them for the product review that I was doing for sheds or I probably wouldn't have brought them. They always like very equipment. Showed at an event to show people what they look like. So this was the only event during that time frame that I was doing so. That's why the movers were there and yes, I have been working on my cable management.

I'm debating going the Chauvet route for movers. I was thinking of the 360X or 375X but that's a minimum of $2300 for the pair with a case. I can go off brand and get it from $800 - $1200 for the same. My issue is quality. I don't want a book case / paper weight with no support several years from now.

It's about time!!! FIVERR can make your name drops. If you know some kids around the age of those attending, ask them to make you a playlist of music they would dance to. But then don't bore them playing the entire song. Beat match and transition.
@mitas34849 ай бұрын
They had another party in the Gym or what? Usually for slow gigs, I try to turn off some of the ligths and make it seem less crazy. Set my moving heads to a very slow wash, and strobe a bit. Looks good man!
