Nice review! What's your experience on the lower RPM spectrum? I heard the R1 generates lots of torque in lower RPM and pulls like crazy. Is it true?

When mounting it back on, to find the right setting. Do u just turn the ignition and adjust until the ticking is gone?

The sound deading is in the cat /bread box not the can. You need to get a slip in dB killer.

What this valve do?
@dexlab7794
@dexlab7794 26 күн бұрын
It opens and closes at certain rpms to change the diameter of the exhaust which somehow reduces the valleys seen in the torque and horsepower curves. It's probably a very marginal change on the road but makes sense for track racing.

I like your video,a lot of people were removing the gas tank and stuff in their tutorials but I don’t see that as necessary unless your bike is maybe really old, just seems to be more complicated that way

Mate, thank you for this video. Just purchased a 2022 R1 and about to do this. So basically you can remove the cable but leave the servo there and no error lights? If you remove the servo as well you will get error lights?

I've been riding for more than half of my life. But pretty much everything I've ridden is much older with rear drum brakes and whatnot. Just recently got the R3 without abs. And let me tell you it would sure as hell be handy to keep that rear wheel from trying to lock every time you even feather the rear brake. The rear brake is far too sensitive in my opinion. Maybe it's just on the bike that I got. Not really sure haven't ridden many newer bikes. A couple here and there but never had to try and do an emergency type stop with one. Kind of had to do that when somebody pulled out in front of me with the R3 and yeah scary as hell that even just trying to feather the break the rear wheel locked up and just slid. I did keep it under full control but it was definitely an unnerving feeling. I feel that it should have allow you to push the pedal more than an eighth of an inch down before it locks fully. There's almost a full inch of movement to the foot pedal. it's going to take a while to get used to something that Twitchy and sensitive. And maybe it just had to do with the weather being so damn cold. Was riding when it was like three degrees above freezing. But I had gone about 12 miles by then the tires should have been fairly warm

Just bought the K5, I prev had the k3. The quality and feel of the interior v is much better, feels great against my face. The weight is much lighter. The aerodynamics are much better although similar shape the k5 doesn't want to rip your head off when you look up. The k5 is quieter, I've been riding without earplugs whereas the k3 I had to. I've bought the exact same size as my k3 and it fits true. K5 has a d ring instead of the click on type. Im very happy I made the purchase.

Hey, good clip. Ive got a question. I have a '09 xjr 1300. I had it tuned last month. The tuner told me, i could also disconnect the exup valve, it gives a better sound to the bike. I disconnected the cables from the valve. And it seems the valve is open now because of a spring. Or am i wrong, cause you told someone, the valve would be closed, when disconnected? Also my question is, does it do any harm to the xjr1300 engine, when always open (with exhaust pressure and such). Also i just put the loose cables inside the valve box, it seemed to fit next to the valve. 😁
