Thanks a lot for this great video. I would just like to check one point please if you are available to reply; Why are the voltage arrows pointing to the point of lower voltage instead of the higher voltage? Isn't the common convention for voltage arrows to point to the point of higher voltage?

As for as my experience with Switch mode power supply the filter inductance is very important for in rush current limiting cause if the inductance is to small more current will draw from the mains into the transformer and built up as heat wasting the current. And burning up the winding because if the core is rated for 6 amp and the chock is inductance is small 9 amp will drawn from the mains and 3 amps.is wasted as heat in the winding so the chock play many rolls in power supply

In your schematic shown at 2:34 min of this film, current entering Lcm will create opposite magnetic fields , what in effect they will cancel each other, so what is the reason for Lcm?

I am sorry to rain in your parade but what you have here is not an overcurrent protection circuit. What you are showing is that with 100 ohms resistor, there is not enough voltage between the collector and emitter of the transistors to turn the LED ON. With 100 ohms resistors the collector-to-emitter voltage (VCE) of the transistors are below 1 volt. If you change the resistor to a lower value, let’s say 40 ohms, you should see the LED turn ON and you do not necessarily have a short-circuit condition. Please check this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nNeViNNyubDQio0.html where a real short-circuit protection is discussed. Better, check the Part 4 at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hptzlpRlrNitqGg.html where a standard overcurrent protection is demonstrated.
