I need to talk about this incredible animation sequence with Melt. Such incredible animation moments I call as Oshi No Ko moments for a reason. Melt had Oshi No Ko moment in this episode, but there are other characters who had such moments. Let me recount it- Ruby had this moment in Episode 1 and Episode 11 of Season 1, Aqua in Episode 1 of Season 1, Akane had this moment in Episode 8 of Season 1, but Kana had already 4 such moments: in Season 1 Episode 4 and 11, in Season 2 Episode 1 and 6. This is undoubtedly an 11/10 anime episode. And it feels like everyone involved in its production knew it. I feel a vortex of emotions every time I watch it. This can't be called translation. They are changing original meanings into something so different and inserting so many things that are not entirely there. I understand that some changes are necessary to make it more understandable but it's way over that level...I really wanna know what was going on in the mind of whoever did this translation. Isn't there other translations? Surely it won't be worse than this.

It's almost funny how badly they mangle the names in every series I've seen them watch. But it's very much an American thing, especially to totally disregard that some letters clearly are different. But they even mispronounce "Himmel" although his name is clearly said time after time in the series.

I haven't read the novels but my theory as to why she dyed part of her hair red could be to represent Shin's brother since he has red hair OR I think it's more of her own ideal of equality for the 86, her dying her hair represents that having silver hair doesn't make you a superior being to others, we're all human, hair colour doesn't dictate who's better and I think Aldrecht from last episode inspired her to dye her hair as he did the same to fight for his wife and daughter's rights.

I felt the emotion in this one

Belaf's death will never fail to make me cry. He deliberately sacrifices himself to hold Faputa down for a little while, allowing the Riko Squad to escape the immediate area. His inner monolog shows that he wants nothing but atonement for his (unwilling) deeds in the past and wants to give Faputa her mother's final gift. The only things Irumyuui never touched were Belaf's memories and Vueko. The song that starts as soon as Faputa can see the memories is "Eyes of Irumyuui." I have watched the series over ten times now, and that fucking song still hits me like a kick in the emotional teeth. I keep a Spotify playlist of my favorite tracks from MiA. The other day, I was on a city bus and listening to music, then that song came up. Instant tears, I just got off the bus at the closest stop and walked the few last blocks instead.
