Excellent, clear video and audio. I also have a 2016 F150 5.0 liter V8 with about 82,000 miles on it, mostly from driving back and forth between California and Florida. I'll probably change the plugs soon. Thanks a lot!

Hi great video but remember the wattage the resistor has to carry volts x amps and you could use a potentiometer instead of a fixed resistor and be able to go from empty to full by adjusting the potentiometer. Great video 😊. Thanks Walter from Liverpool Merseyside England

Just updated my SL-B202. New Ortofon Red stylus. Soldered better rca plugs and ground. New belt. Also to help with the horrible ringing with these aluminum platters a coating of dynamat. Also applied the dynamat to the interior (making sure it doesn't interfere with anything. Polished the plexi. The player is completely deadened. It is now performing way past its original sound. You don't have to spend a lot of money on a new player for sure.

Just bought a set of Model Six's for $30 at an estate sale. I also bought several components for $5 each. Nothing was hooked up, so I could not test anything. Direct drive Sony TT was a score at $5, works great. One of my KLH speakers is working great, the other not so much. Cabinets look great, so it's time to dig in a little further.

Hey, nice video! Wifes 2012 Mini needs replacing that bulb, but the original says D1, and no matter what I search for I can only seem to find D1S replacement bulbs. Some forum post said the D1S is bigger than the D1, so not really sure what to do. Cheers!

Thank you!! If I remember correctly I ran into the same issue. I’m 99% sure I put a D1S in it because that’s all I could find! Still working great today!

These non-sanyo darlington power packs have a poor reputation in the diyaudio forums. Fine for low volume, but don't expect them to last at high output. There are some pictures comparing the internals. And there are reverse-engineered mini-board kits available, but pricey. Fwiw i had an sx580 which could not hold a candle to the nad 7125 which replaced it, particularly for bass reproduction. I would love to hear an all-original 780 compared to one with the replacement power packs, or even see the sine waves at high power. I know there is a lot of love for some of these late 70s pioneers, but i ended up donating my 580 to my staff for their lunchroom system.

Repeat commentor here, you’re my kinda guy, noticed on your phone that you have the “blue driver” app. I have a pioneer 1080 and a muscle car and you have a pioneer 1080 and a muscle car. I was an ET in the Navy and because of this video I am making that leap from just doing voltage alignments to injecting signals. I can’t decide whether to use the sonic app or purchase a combo oscope / signal generator. What do you think? Also, can you use Bluetooth with the sonic app or recommend the patch cables?
@kylenovak973 ай бұрын
On the output transistors, no replacements or substitutions correct? Can you elaborate on what the workaround is?
@johnbowick71093 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video, unlike JVC manuals this pioneer procedure doesn’t show you that the right channel is on the other side of the heat sink. So I was confused whether this adj. was for both channels or what? I was an ET in the Navy and have aligned many JVC integrated and power amps. This is my first Pioneer. Also step 3 under the idler current adj. says to repeat steps 1-4 above, but there are only 3 steps to the idler adj. and 4 steps for the center voltage So this further confused me. Your video was the only internet search I could find that straightened this out for me. Thanks again.

Should the resistor stay in place when installed?
@TinkeringWithT4 ай бұрын
Only keep the resistor in place for testing the gauge. Once it’s installed, the sending unit in the tank will act as the resistor.
