What a finish! Always fun seeing people tackle the final boss and the bevy of debuffs Ascension inflicts. You took The Undying out quickly! Berserk + Haste + Balthier with Guns melts him even faster. This has been immensely fun to watch, can't wait to see you take on the rest. :)

Great fight! Gabranth can be Blinded and Oiled, so that helps with survivability and making the fight go by more quickly. The Soldiers on the Bahamut are really meant to overwhelm you because, well, you're invading their main ship. You're more-or-less meant to put up your defenses and charge through without taking on the individual soldiers. Can't wait to see the next fights!

Yep yep those soldiers are not playing around. Honestly I got a lot of muscle memory because I am not used to having to use statuses. Though for the post game, I will actually look at the document you made for the enemies. Did not want to do it for story in case I saw any new items there that would spoil any surprise.

I started playing FFX for the first time ever recently. Went with expert sphere grid for my first run cuz I hear it's more customisable. Convenient timing this showed up in my recommended.

The Mesa is a bit of a sidegrade to Orochi. What Orochi has in raw power and EVD, it lacks in speed since Mesa has Auto: Haste (it just doesn't display as such due to system limitations). So Mesa is better if you want quicker actions, whereas Orochi is better defensively with its high Evasion. It's basically end-game Main Gauche 2.0. Likewise, due to system limitations the Renewing Morion has Auto: Regen (I gave it Immune: Sap in SFF to prevent the player from being afflicted with Sap, which effectively cancels out the Auto: Regen). I love this part of the game because at this point the party really starts coming into their own. Fran can nuke things (just not for prolonged periods of time), Penelo can serve as a great healer and undead slayer, Basch is a great tank, Ashe is a wonderful all-rounder, Vaan can work as both decent DPS and evasion tank, and Balthier can sling potions or deal damage.

Completely true. The way all characters feel diferent from one another is awesome. Though I do miss my infinite mana Black Mage nuke maniac 😔

I know I'm late to the party here, but why did Spare Change do more damage to Anima? I thought the calculation was 10 Gil per 1 damage, so 90,000 Gil for 9,000 damage, but you did 1.5 times that. Did it get adjusted for the remaster for some reason?

It is because Anima used Boost so I was dealing 50% more damage with Spare Change, thank god for that or I would have never made it.

Doesn't anyone know that you can provoke any chimera with tides, which causes it to only cast thunder spells, which, tides has null shock so, easy exp. . .

Damn, Rikku only, at first I thought it would have been easy, until you mentioned NOT using her overdrive, my first though was "well, that changes everything" and it hyped me up to watch the video. Rikku best girl, easily the strongest of the group when she can use her Overdrive, and even without it, I think she is the fastest of the FFX crew.

Spectral keeper only has 50% chance of inflicitng beserk, thus berserk ward will nullify it Using a star curtain on rikku would have made the yunalesca fight easier

@LootGoblin20 my go to tactic for spectral keeper is tidus with beserk ward using provoke. Have yuna always use protect and healing on tidus and another character to keep hitting him

Good stuff, man! Rikku is way too broken to make you struggle in any meaningful way, but it was still fun to watch. Who's next? Are you going through the easiest ones first (Tidus, Rikku, Wakka, not necessarily in that order)?

Yep expected to be the easiest, though the lack of overdrives or mega farming sessions dod provide a bit of a challenge. Even had to use spare change for the 1st tome ever. When the time comes I woll put up a poll for which one to do next, though I am also thinking of doing a different FF first

@@LootGoblin20 yeah having to Spare Change was unexpected, although I guess Anima in particular does require it if you don't get super lucky (e.g. using other characters as meatshields) or play blitzball for a Dark Matter. Needing it for Sin was a bit weirder because in the time you farmed the gil you could probably have gotten the Supreme Gems from capturing :p

@@LootGoblin20 NSGRO is fully possible, though BFA is difficult enough that only maybe less than a handful of people ever managed it. You can add either NO or NI to it and you can make it to BFA and even do monster capturing if you want. I actually always wanted to beat NSGRO BFA but back in PS2 days it was too big a timesink with the huge cutscene and crystal minigame on each attempt. Now with auto-save and cutscene remover I may actually try it again.
