I've watched the swimming pool scene 5X and laugh just as hard every time. "How's the water, Sister?" 🤣

Upon rewatching, Derek does admit he admires her courage and kindness at the very end.. so i suppose theres some form of resolution to this problem. Still a very fun movie otherwise.

I was surprised to learn that June Harding (Rachel) was 28 years old when this was filmed. Hayley was about 20. Only Barbara Hunter (Marvel Ann) was actually of high school age, about 17. Barbara was plain in appearance for "The Trouble with Angels," but she had grown pretty by the sequel "Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows." Alas, our youthful good looks are so fleeting (say I at 60+).

0:01 Maybe we started pretty small Take a look at us now 0:12 Take a look at us now 0:16 Suddenly standing ten feet tall Take a look at us now 0:21 Take a look at us now Though we had no way to stay afloat We were scared they’d say it was all she wrote We’re ending on a sky high note somehow Buddy you were all it took So take a look at us now 1:23 So I made a couple mistakes Got a few things wrong We can claw right back to where we belong It’s just us two and a soaring song Redoing our debut We get to finish what we started It’s a brand new me and you A brand new me and you Thought we might be sunk Upon first glance Well, who’d have thunk Here’s a second chance And life could be a song and dance somehow So take a look at us now

I remember seeing this when it came out on a class trip to the local theatre near our Catholic School, St. Mary Star of the Sea. It was one of the most beautiful stories and holds up after 60+ years. That friendship was an inspiration to every one in our class and it has never seemed more touching than today. So glad it is available in its entirety with that beautiful music, that glorious chemistry and that fabulous direction by Ida Lupino.

I went to Catholic school as a child and Rosalind Russell really kills it in this role. Only now I can laugh about it; then it was terrifying.

almost every bed wetter is also mole st ed.. all children have to tell their story. if they don't have a safe place and the vocabulary to tell that story, they tell it in other ways. bed wetting is the way they tell their story. acting out. Dairy after breakfast helps you sleep and also contributes to the problem. eliminate the pee do files and dairy and the problem naturally goes away.
