OG makes a great point here. When purchasing products, find out who supplies the manufacturer with their part. Sometimes, you can find out who the manufacturer is, and buy the part cheaper. For example, if you wanted to buy a specific item for your vehicle, see if another manufacturer uses that exact same part because just on name branding alone can be a difference of about $25-$35, imagine if it was a bigger ticket item

The blue one i think is what they call the MG Midget. Its like a smaller version of the MGB GT. I grew up in the 70's early 80's as a kid. My dad got promoted at work and got a Mk1 Ford Capri 1.6 in metalic brown. It was a 2 door, 4 seater coupe with a long bonnet or hood. He later had it resprayed in gold with a brown vinyl roof and plastic wheel trims. It caught fire one day on the drive and the fire brigate had to put it out lol. God he loved that thing so much he wouldn't let the insurance company write it off and he had it repaired. The Iraqi and Iranian lads who were at college over here and rented the house from our neighbour next door, had a white MGB convertible just as the Iran/Iraq war started and i remember my grandmother who was visiting, sat at the back of this MG and took her for a spin in it. Im a grandad myself now and ive got a 1998 911 in silver with red leather. Its got 19's, skirts, kit etc and a big bore racing exhaust. Its a bit different than the Capri but back then the Capri was cutting edge. It was the first car built with running gear fitted to a shell, as regards to shell on chassis. It was basically known as the British or European Ford Mustang. They even did a V6 3ltr version and the police used a 2.8 V6 as a highway patrol car. Old cars are basically works of art unlike today. I cant tell the difference between a Merc, a Toyota or a Ford, they all look the same to me. Have fun mate, its great to see people keeping these cars alive. 👍 🇬🇧

@@dailydrivendatsuns3882 Sorry for the short reply back, I had some visitors turn up. Yes memories are a big part of classic vehicle ownership. I see stuff I could never afford at one time or, being too young, now being possible own although, some of the rare stuff can cost an absolute fortune. One of my dream cars growing up and even today has been the Mk3 Ford Escort RS turbo custom. They only produced it in white and today you'd be lucky to get one even with a tree growing through it for £10k. I fist saw one in Germany back in 89 at the NAAFI car dealership. Today I'm recovering after a rather bad time in hospital from an illness, it almost killed me so I've been trying to get back to normal or rehabilitate myself by building an old 1981 motocross bike. It's basically from the frame up. It's a full nut and bolt, part number correct job. I'm about 12 months into it. I've bought a lot of parts from the USA which I've then had to restore. It's a 1981 Suzuki rm465. It's like the big brother of the little RM100 I had as a 14 year old. I've put the restoration on a blog with VitalMX, it's rather boring for most, especially when there's pages showing the restoration or purchase of a single part lol. Im on page 28 now, mostly photos, should be on page 29 shortly. 👍
