Are your wheels bronze color? I am thinking about changing our the base wheels on my 2024 zr2 in harvest bronze metallic color to either black,gold or bronze colored wheels.

Yes, I'm using the Rocktrix wheels in bronze. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those colors, but that harvest bronze is such a great color.

I drove a sand dune metallic colored zr2 bison 2 weeks back.almost bought it but decided to save about 12 grand and bought a zr2 in harvest bronze metallic color for 50,700.00. Going soon to buy new wheels in either bronze or gold color and upgrade from 33" to 35" tires. Will also be buying the bump stops for my base zr2. Then later on I will add full underbody skid plates and nicer steel after market bumpers and a winch. Took my truck last weekend driving on forestry and logging roads in northeast Tennessee in greene county by rich mountain fire tower. The truck easily foarded a stream in 2 places just being in low 4 wheel drive with no lockers being used. Thinking about going with narrower about size 265/85R17 mud terrain tires. They should help me to get a bit better fuel economy.

Nice! I really like the harvest bronze color too. I agree with you. I would advise anyone to opt for a ZR2 over the Bison to save money and upgrade progressively, unless they plan not to modify anything on the truck.

I think if I had that same mounting issue I would go to one of the local metal fab shops in town and have them build me some custom aluminum mounting brackets so the tank is oriented properly for that location on the bed-rack. I would do channel brackets on both sides of the tank. Then it would be supported from the side of the bed-rack and the top of the bed-rack, cradled in there and more than able to withstand the jarring on the trails - 🤔 👍 😎

589 fab doesn't really do customer installs, on their website the bumper is 1499 plus a winch its around 450-1000k (depending on what one you go with ) the scar is about 500, the lights are about 1600 if you go with all Baja lights LP4 and lp6 if you go with rigid lights its around half of that so for a fully built out bumper you are looking at about around 3600ish

Yeah, getting and staying organized is a challenge. I’m weight conscious about loading my ZR2 down with stuff that I can live without and don’t really need, (although it would be cool to have 🤗). For instance, a drawer system from Decked for our pick-ups weighs in at a whopping 177 pounds ! And that's empty mind you. Load it up with gear and it's now tipping the scale at over 200 pounds. (My bed rack and tent together only weigh 130 pounds). I have a few Rubbermaid Roughneck storage boxes (10 and 18 gallon) from the hardware store for food, and camping gear, and just toss them in the bed of my pickup, and that's it, not much weight at all. I’ve drilled two corners on the boxes and pinned them so the wind can’t pull the lid off while driving. Not as cool and easy as a drawer system, but it’s lightweight and waaaaay cheaper, and not that difficult to access stuff - 👍😎

@metanoiab4its2l8
@metanoiab4its2l8 26 күн бұрын
@@alwaysdifferent Just my opinion on a drawer system,,, Maybe a “cool” thing to have overlanding but it’s just unnecessary extra weight for on and off trail. I think better suited more for someone like a contractor working out of his pickup every day and needs tools secure, organized, and handy.

This level up diff drop is a pain. I saw someone loosen the rear bolt of the diff on the last gen Colorado, which seems to make the install easier. I am not sure the option is the same for this gen Colorado. It looks like Peak has the right idea with a two piece design.
