About two months ago, I received a random call while I was with my boyfriend. The caller took my name and asked, 'How are you?' When I asked who it was, he said some random name. Your husband gave me your number. I was shocked because I’m not even married. When I asked who he really was, he started using really disgusting language, so I immediately hung up. I was trembling and too scared to go to the police, so I filed a cybercrime complaint online. I also asked all my guy friends to call that person and confront him. Later, I found out it was a drunk dial, but the big question is still how did he know my name? So, I removed my name from Truecaller. Girls, please be safe. 🥺❤️

8:20 the train incident.... i was walking at 7 pm on a very crowded station. A man was singing 'hey baby' behind me. So i moved to the other platform and that fcker followed me there as well and singing. Phir toh bas ho gaya. Then i followed him till near the stairs and I *shouted* at him that why are you singing this song (I only did this because the station was crowded. I wouldn't have done it if i was alone. If you're alone, then just run) He got scared and then said "sorry sorry mein toh apne liya ga raha tha" . And then ran away. After i got home, i told my elder sister. Please tell someone you trust if god forbid something happens. And stay safe and smart Another incident. two men whistling from the bike when I was in the auto in daylight. Luckily my mom was there so she shouted at him and they got scared, said sorry and ran away. The auto driver and other men also came to ask if you neee help. So please do ask for help if you feel it in your gut. Trust your gut for judgement. If you feel that this auto/can driver is fishy then don't get in 🙏🏼

One thing I just one to highlight is that as you said we go on a super high alert mode and second is that we don't know the impact of one such case in the society whether it could be just overthinking or may be parents now don't send their daughter where they want to go for study or job . Me here in Nepal miles far from the incident can be disturb in this level I don't know what is the level of fear impulged there . And thirdly there is no safe place for women whether it could be inside mother womb or in the mortuary room 😢

I remember last year during Janmashtami me and my friend went to the temple we were in the line outside waiting to go inside , it was very crowded and there was this man who had the audacity to touch both of us i was not aware about my friend but she just pinched me and we got to know he was taking advantage of the crowd i was numb at that point and i did not know how to react. This same thing happened in the DTC bus from that point I'm scared to travel alone in buses

I like that you brought up this topic, but the solution is not to stop going out at late night ! You and all of us should spread the message that the men need to change their thinking and stop treating women as some object ! Men upbringing needs to change from the root up !

Everybody talks about what some stranger did to them but nobody taks about what so many close relatives has done to so many girls and boys equally. The former stories atleast comes out but the latter ones are being hidden in households to protect the family image by their own parents. This needs to stop. 99 percent of girls friends I have talked to have experienced this from atleast one family member who is like a very reputable uncle in the family.
