looked like DC's fault. When you think about it, Irvine came back and got third but he could have easily got 2nd or maybe even won if that collision never happened...saved the title for Mika lol.

Apparently they both deliberately cut the chicane in order to avoid coming a cropper at the (soon to be known as) Wall Of Champions

See this is what was great about F1. The thrill and the chase. Now all the driver has to do is wait for the DRS zone and wizz past. F1 is a sh1tshow now. Art of overtaking is dead.

Everyone who tells you this era of F1 was better is just nostalgic. Yes, this was a great battle/pass with lighter and more agile cars than today, but the truth is that without DRS it was only possible to overtake if the other driver made a mistake like Montoya here

Important to notice that Schumacher helped Irvine even he was not already champion with Ferrari. Meaning he helped Irvine despite, he could become the first Champion with Ferrari in years. That kind of support is not recognized, and many talk about one race where Rubens had to let him pass, but Rubens never had a real chance at a championship.

It's important to remember Schumacher was a dick on track and to remember that one race you mentioned is one more proof of that.

@@LeandroGiorni yes. right after your delusions, reality follows. After that Baricello race, they had to change the rules to make it appear fair. Which it wasn't ofc. Schumacher, like Senna and others were kings of dick moves, used by f1 to make them heroes for money But hey, you have opinion, so fuck reality
