try to relax your arms as you play, use more of a wrist motion and allow the stick to bounce but keep control with your back fingers. keep the pinkies in, and to exaggerate the accents, play lower taps. other than that good playing😼

This was so cool. These people all had a great time. Loved seeing the looks on their faces when they nailed it. And it looked like just a good time! Great collaboration between these groups. Loved seeing it.

Stop bouncing so much, and learn to open and close those wrists, for better control and sound. I played snare, tenor, bass, quads and quints from 9th grade to senior year college.

Lower the snare, assuming those are doubles you really should be playing them at this tempo. Hit the drum with velocity, you look unsure of every note.

Made me smile, I was quints my freshman year, moved to second snare my sophomore year, my junior year I took percussion section chief but was on quints because all three quint drummers graduated and no one but me had played them so I spent my Junior and Senior year section chief on quints and training freshmen and Sophmores on them. I liked them more then snare anyhow. Had the chance to join marching 110 at Ohio University but knew I was to wild still and needed to grow up before taking the scholarship so turned it down and joined the Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman. Did 12 years in the Marines and 5 deployments, my final deployment I was wounded and resulted in direct impact brain injury and the thing it has really messed was my ability to play the quints. My son tried out a year early for the drum line and made it to quints hahaha I have never played in front of him but he has heard recordings from our shows and he just picked it up naturally. I am going to try to get my ability back to playing like I used with him. Awesome show. Thank you for posting, brought back some awesome memories

Play this cadence at a slower speed and try to actually stroke those out, it will build better habits for a faster speed and make it much cleaner over all, it might be harder to play than usual cuz you’re playing on a super untuned snare

Every single drummer in this video should have their drum(s) taken away until they learn to play and respect the instrument. This was one of the most saddest display of drumming I've ever watched. Very dirty, noisy, and just straight up pollution to my ears. If y'all have the internet in your neck of the woods try checking out drum lines from the Concord Blue Devils by or the Santa Clara Vanguards. Good Luck

All I really have to say is that you might wanna work on your rolls. Maybe lower the snare a bit, you don't wanna chicken wing it (raising your shoulders and bending your arms just to hit the drum). Your buzzes are really the only problem. Maybe try using traditional grip for more natural left hand movement. Other than that, just keep at it. Maybe change the head, honestly...
