The cinematography was mind blowingly beautiful, the aesthetics can be pretty gruesome, still you can't help but feel mesmerized. Especially the scene in the tunnel scared the crap out of me, I was terrified out of mind, yet couldn't look away. This movie deserves the term 'masterpiece', but I won't touch this ever again, there is just too much pain and violence, the ending gives you some sort of closure, but it's not enough to go through the emotional torture again.

This sounds like the plot for Jupiter Ascending.. prison planet, engineered evolution, soul harvesting. If it’s true, it’s horrific, and we are nothing but cattle to a higher species in the same way we harvest other animals here. What’s worse is we presume our sentience gives us some special privileges to not deserve such a fate, yet the reality is our spirituality may be the true prize worth harvesting for others.

At some point the entire movie just goes over the top and nothing makes sense anymore. We don't get bored but we dont understand what's going on and we dont care about any of the characters. It ends up as a circus show. Alien 1 was way better.

MC in this one is one among the most stupid MCs out there, constantly piling stupid decisions on top of each other. The writers of this also seem to have been on drugs... Also, lots and lots of "that´s convenient" moments.
