My GL1100 "Interstate" was a true joy to ride. I wish I still had it. Mine was identical to the one featured in your video.

I was really drawn to this bike and I'm very torn because I want to get it but at the same time I don't because I also like the XR650L it's just much more efficient still just as cool has electric start I'm really great gas mileage BUT the R was the latest XR platform that existed, it's a second generation XR platform with the aluminum frame rather than the chromoly steel frame making it 50 lb lighter than the L. Or about the same weight does my 1994 XR250L but with just more power evidently the practicality of the L and the fact that it's still in production Swayze my decision in this video kind of helps me Keep On Track because I did fall in love with the XR650L first

Jimmy Carter (the peanut head) the one that in 1977 signed into law Karl Marci’s 10th plank of the 1848 communist manifesto, he also implemented a 100% moratorium TAX on all imported motorcycles to save Harley Davidson’s sorry ass, Carter is the reason they still make those contraptions called Harleys. I’m a Beamer worldwide cyclist, love’em. O.G. (The original genius)

I have a 2011 pcx, I bought it thinking that I will replace it with a newer model once this dies or something goes wrong enough.....it happens it is still working like the first day with 45.000km! I cant find a reasonable excuse to buy the newer model. haha oh... I forgot to mention... The only thing I REALLY hate of this model are the headlights, the HS5 Halogen lamps are super expensive (Stanley) and there are only a few manufacturers who make the replacement. Led bulbs from aliexpress are not suitable for this bike, they light up but the beam is atrocious. Thats why after 2013 honda released the pcx featuring LEDs overall
@VehicleHunter5 күн бұрын
Good point about the headlights. I forgot those, i had mine modified to accept h4's. Can't believe they came stock with those hs5. Ridiculous. I find the same thing, i think for scooters this is as close to perfect you can get, the only thing id get is another pcx.

You know I have never really thought much of the flat floorboard. Not when I don't have it and not much when I do. But there was a few times where I did use it and I felt like the king. I wouldn't really consider that to be a selling point though. it is more a solution for poor planning than a useful feature. One actual advantage of the flat floorboard you mentioned is if your body doesn't work like it used to the Zuma is going to be easier to get into. The PCX is still good in this regard compared to other motorcycles. On the topic of the PCX's forward foot platform. I actually kind of wish they didn't have that plastic flared out. my feet don't really fit on those platforms because of the plastics.

500 bucks i got mine in 2018, with 216k miles, one set of spark plugs, a water pump and radiator, ignition coil and wires, many many gallons of oil its now at 334k miles and its still the daily driver, burns about a quart every 2k miles but that keeps it lubricated

I was the original owner of the vehicle. The car came from a Nissan dealership in Salisbury, MD. It was a sporty choice, like a Subaru wagon and wanted stickshift. In addition it held my drum kit well for transport. It was a house deal so it made great sense at the time to go Nissan.

I own a 2016 BMR 1200rt. Ive owned a 2020 Vstrom as a second bike for the past few years. Gotta say the Vstrom is my pick for comfort and its less weight esp for commuting.. Obviously the BMW is a fantastic motorcycle, but being a sports tourer can become uncomfortable after a few hours riding. As for power, wind and weather protection the BMW is the winner there. As much as I dislike maintaining a drive chain, I intend keeping my Vstrom indefinitely. The 650 is a great all rounder

I just bought a 2003 with...get this....38000 miles...long story but a squirrel built a nest in front of the airbox - it caught fire - melted the airbox and burned the serpentine belt - all else was just fine - putting in on the road in about a month once my parts come in - what a find!!!

It's pretty bad. If you ride gently im sure you can do better. But the bike is difficult to ride slowly. It wants to get moving fast. So maybe 35mpg. But ive heard of guys going 45mpg

Noticed there are no ABS "rings" on the brake disks. It was the first thing to jump to my attention. Had to do some research and found that the US models in that year's version didn't come standard with ABS, contrary to what we get in Europe. Greetings from Portugal. ✌
