I haven't seen anyone say it's bad, just that it's a generic kids' movie. I won't be watching it just because I know I don't like illumination's output.

"stolen by those pesky thieves" where does bro think that the popular Mummy Brown pigment came from??? is he not aware that Victorians would use parts of human mummies as **folk medicine**??? this is infuriating to me as both an artist and Victorian history enthusiast that he doesn't even deem **the fact that people used mummies for paint pigment and folk medicine, for a long time until they Ran Out Of Mummies**, more interesting than whatever googledybonkers nonsense he believes in, is immesureably sad that said, I remember watching a video from Thought Slime from around 2019, where they talked about how it's much easier for people to peddle misinformation than it is for people to counter it, because of the amount of labour and brain juice the research involved in correcting it requires, and conspiracy theorists know this perfectly well, which is why they continue to thrive in the online space even after they end up like Alex Jones with his Sandy Hook case in that respect, I really appreciate all the work that you've done to provide your audience with the facts, Milo - I like to think that in another life i could've been an anthropologist if not for various obstacles impending that path, so everything you've provided here in a digestible format is invaluable

It's still so wild to me that Butch really deadass tried to retcon Danny Phantom after he became a born-again Christian and got creative control of the show to be like "actually, they're not dead people, they're just people from another dimension". Like, dude, the show is literally called Danny PHANTOM, how are they not ghosts lmao

kids really fed into this crap growing up . i loved all these shows but my upbringing really incorporated things of virtue and loyalty. there was a level of parenting that instilled in me the desire to cooperate with my peers and not compete with each other for status or power like kids do normally in life, they act without morals. this is the huge gap i have had that got wider and wider until the point i dropped out of high school . i was thinking about god since the 1st grade . because my puerto rican grandparents were devout christians. im having a fkn eureka moment and its because these shows are reminding me of my school years. these shows instilled a sort of unruliness , even knd i love em to death , but it really just instills revenge , spite, and resentment... see i could watch these shows because i was instilled with certain principles as a child. however , for those kids who did not have that. those are the kids we see running rampant today. because they turned on their TV and believed in what they saw... EDIT : (not only TV but the internet more importantly! ) these people really have a recipe to build a brand, and make everybody get into one big circle - u kno wat while they forget about their REAL lives and REAL friends. shit is insane..

Its just cause he’s "popular" I don’t get it yea he’s hot but 100s of the far more skilled voice actors should get those roles and pay. He has enough.

in brazil, we kinda had the same situation, because the "main" voice of garfield (at least the latest one, claudio galvan) was replaced with chris pratt main va (raphael rossatto) here, although unlike chris pratt he tried to change his voice, and fun fact, his dad (ricardo rossatto) actually voice garfield's dad in the movie

I'm fine with big name actors being voice actors.... if they do a good job. You got people like John Goodman with Pacha and Sully, for example. Mark Hamill as the Joker. Jack Black as Po. But Chris Pratt as Garfield is just because he is a big name and he did that successful mario movie thing (some execs probably). Good physical actors can be good voice actors, and they should get the same chance to apply for the job like everyone else, but they should never be hired on star power alone.

Fully expected a wall decal Quinton to appear on the wall as he faded from existence, but I like the ambiguity of this ending. Is his soul finally freed? Is he trapped forever? Has he transcended to become one with the glorious Garfield? Is the Garfield room purgatory? Is it hell? Surely he is not at peace...
